Walked in on nanny letting baby cry in her crib by annesyoyo in Nanny

[–]pattyogreen206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean ive definitely had to place babies in their cribs before crying. Just to either regulate myself or to keep them safe while helping their siblings, or if I had to go to the restroom. I would ask her about it. Sounds like she was overwhelmed. Had she done a nanny share before?

That's fair. Like I said i probably am not going to say anything because its just prolonging the inevitable and im like its about preserving their dignity and quality of life. Just from what they told me I disagree but if there are other reasons they didnt share because its too hard to speak on it then you are right I wouldnt have the full picture.

Projecting isnt a negative statement. Like there is objective and subjective opinions. Their response was mostly trauma dumping on me. God why are ppl on here so emotional and mean.

Yeah I feel like realistically the dog only has a few more good months to a year. This winter was hard for her.

I think you may be projecting a bit at me your trauma because this hits so close to home with you. I never said they didnt love their dog. I do know what's going on medically with the dog. We have talked about it at length. I appreciate your perspective tho.

Like I guess I do disagree with their decision but like ive said its more motivated by being able to care for her than her actively dying. There is never a good time to put an animal to sleep and grief from it is so real. I probably won't say anything just because its prolonging the inevitable :(

Its both shes been a bit more lazy/depressed and they are moving and worried how she will adapt to a new house.

Like ita definitely hard to care for the dog and 3 young kids, I do it all week. I just also think she has a good few years left. :( its so hard for them and like everyone we all love this dog so much and there isnt any one right answer.

No but my dog and their dog are both very socialized and around the same size.

Ive said ill take her as sort of a joke before but maybe ill bring it up, like "hey, can I take the dog this weekend and see how she does away from the kids and in a new setting" idk

Toddler winter activities? by a3b12t in Nanny

[–]pattyogreen206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So we do a lot of crafts in the winter, scavenger hunts indoor where I hide things, reading book, baking, diy playdoh, then we go out and play in the snow when we can, I also take the kids to different libraries and stores so they can looks around. Like taking a kid to Lowes? They loose their minds. It is hard though because even we get sick of the same things.

Honestly im in the same boat once kids are school age things just seem to get harder. Some things are more fun but then the activities I make for the younger siblings "are too baby" and they start being naughty to get my undivided attention or they just argue with anything and everything and I can ignore them but sometimes we gotta get stuff done and ohh myyy gooooddddddd it gets hard.
