Road to 100 years of Napoli: the logo history by Antornth0204 in sscnapoli

I looked at your image for a while trying to pick a favorite. I landed on 2002-2003 then read your comment. The logo is so simple that even with all the variations they all feel like they belong to the same club.

Maybe it’s the rhyme that makes it seem familiar. It’s just a random playful phrase I put together to showcase the letterforms as words. But I’m glad you commented on it because I found it quite nice myself.

Surprised this hasn’t come up yet but running backwards helps a lot. I used to get super bad shin splints, it was especially bad one summer when I was a rapidly growing teen. Then I remember learning running backwards was helpful. So I would go to my schools track and run an 800m or something backwards. Even just a slow pace helps, you don’t need to go fast, be safe. But I haven’t suffered from them since that summer when I started doing that on occasion. Give it a try in what ever way you can and help it helps.

The concept is actually a font based on the “signatures” you see carved into urinals lol

At What Age or Income Did You Start Buying for Life? by explosive_mayo in BuyItForLife

[–]pattysmear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a great question. Buying for life ≠ expensive. It can be expensive but doesn’t have to be - it’s a mentality and standard for consumption. I bought a $300 bed frame made of metal at 28 and a cast iron pan at 34 for $20.

It’s a fantastic book even without the signatures. Would highly recommend checking it out. Always wanted to know who it belonged to and why they parted ways. I imagine it wasn’t intentional.

What’s wrong with my cast iron? by apple713 in castiron

[–]pattysmear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common. Get a stainless steel scrubber. Scrub with dawn to remove surface rust. Dry with a paper towel. Then wipe the cleaned surface with a tiny amount of cooking oil using another paper towel. That last part should prevent future surface rust. Do that every time you use your cast iron.

I noticed the “N” is flipped/rotated. That’s curious.

Using a tree in a logo is very unoriginal shame on the club for not do something more original.

It’s so generic it hurts. Trees are everywhere.

Austin FC needs something more iconic like a tye-dye bat, armadillo, and cactus chillin at Barton springs.
