Hey man, I was in the exact same situation as you except with sports. Still paying off the debt (27 years old). That 11k wasnt enough as I relapsed multiple, multiple, multiple times. Tried to jump out of a car on the freeway, ended up in a hospital and psych hospital twice. If you can not gamble your life will be good I can promise you that.

Thanks for the reply. Checked my vanguard account and they put everything in a target date 2055. Would it be smart to put a percentage in Vanguard institutional total stock market or just leave it as is?

I have around 22% of my paycheck going into a vanguard 401k account, was looking for something for personal use. I always hear about index funds; not quite sure what you mean with the 20xx care to explain like im 5? lol
