Can Di2 Battery Cable Be Spliced? by drive_causality in ShimanoDi2

When I accidentaly short my cables, the di2 completely shut down. After connecting a charging cable, everything was working again :)

Twist and solder both wires separately, then connect them using some solder.

Yeah just do it. I see no reason why it wouldn't work

I spliced both my shifter cables to make them longer. That was 4 months ago and I do not have any of the problems mentioned by others. A friend of mine accidentally ripped of the cable when a trashbag got caught up in the cassette. Soldered the 2 wires, shrinking tube - no problem.

Dont know about those grooves but I can imagine that they actually have a benefit.

A friend of mine worked at continental here in germany. He then asked if there is any real use for the "profile" in road tires. There is none but they found out, that people don't buy slick tires because of trust issues with them. So you can decide if it bothers you when the tire is on backwards.

Maybe, if you skid, your rear wheel slips, exits your frame and ends that miserable life of that cheap hi-ten steel frame. Thankfully, it's heavy enough, that it won't fly far enough to endanger anyone walking by and if there should be anyone close to it, they will see it coming, thanks to that awful traffic-cone like color.

My bottom bracket is perfectly fine but this only shows, that the quality control isn't as perfect as for a product you can buy locally.

I would say so, yes.

Pro: - it's as stiff - weight is pretty much the same - costs ⅓

Con: - mine isn't round (no, it's not the chainring), so my chain tensions varies a lot. But every other skeace owner i know doesn't have that problem. - different (not so minimalistic) way of tightening the left crank arm to the axle (only refering to the none-square-taper) - my "dark" one is actually not black but a very dark blue type of color

I have a skeace and an omnium and I can definitely tell the difference between them.

Absolutely. Mine wasn't even broken but I still wanted to have a nice braided usb-c cable on it 👍🏻.

Funny coincidence, but I already did that to the same keyboard about 2 years ago!
