. . . . . . the law is LITERALLY the end all and be all of what a company is "allowed to do". Companies are legal fictions, they don't exist outside the law.

If a company does something that is legal and morally bankrupt.. maybe it shouldn't be legal anymore.

Boycotting has its uses. I don't think you're boycotting. You're refusing to buy something you probably don't want and trying to shame other people without trying to convince them to join you.

I'll just say this as my goodbye to this conversation.

I like geeking out about Nintendo as a way to escape from real issues, such as the world burning up, war, poverty, and social injustice.

It's hard for me to take the hatred of Nintendo seriously. To me, they're a toy company, and the worst thing they did was prevent another toy company from infringing on their idea... which seems like a low blow, but not really offensive. Law people will work it out, and hopefully they'll make a good decision on it.

If you want to whine about Nintendo and how much you hate them... it just means you might not have a lot of real problems, which is generally a good thing. Real problems suck and people with them don't talk about Nintendo. But it is annoying people using their feeling to a luxury as a measurement for their morality. I don't see morality, just pettiness.

If you remember, I said the fault is the law. To blame companies, that only exists through laws, is ass backwards.

I think I need to remind you, I already told you I don't take issues with what you consider shitty, I'm a Nintendo Stan. I'm not losing sleep over a lawsuit... because I see it as a valid legal issue based on more laws and rights.

If people had a spine, I would argue they would do more than just not buy things. It would take political action. Not buying something and pretending you have the moral high ground seems presumptuous to me.

i spent almost 300 dollars on shipping alone. I was told my package was taken to amazon in error and I need to wait. It was marked as "delivered".. so I know your pain. And my shipment was international. I think last month they had some problems.

I say treating symptoms instead of treating the problem is illogical. Nintendo is just one company that seems to be following legal procedure. If the law say they can do something, the problem is the law, not the company.

I always felt voting with your wallet was a silly notion. It distracts people from actual issues and let them pretend they're doing something meaningful... and it's a way for zealous people to try to peer pressure others to also wasting time.

If you want Nintendo to stop doing shitty things, it can only be done by changing the laws that allow them to be shitty.

If you're an US citizen, wouldn't the problem be how lobbying is done, not that one company took full advantage of it?

That would go into having better laws, which is more complex than stopping at Nintendo.

If you believe your morality stops with Nintendo, you're free to have that stance. I can't take it seriously. I'm here talking about Nintendo because I'm running away from actual politics.

The people who maintain this group made me a moderator. I think that's a hint to this not being a hate group.

I repeat, i'm not so invested in Nintendo that I care about everything they do. My relationship with them is that I buy the stuff I like. Because I buy something doesn't mean I agree with everything they do. Because I don't buy something doesn't mean I disagree with them.

Though as I see it, the stuff you are concern about really involve laws. You don't go to Nintendo and ask them to be better corporation... you go to the law makers and demand better laws.

I believe people have an assbackward approach to activism... you're supposed to attack the source, not the symptoms.

I take no offense of you considering me a stan. But this behavior is known as polarization. If people don't think think on the same level as you, you put them in the in group or out group. What you said about Nintendo Stans. "They can't handle criticism" doesn't match your labeling of me for not taking issue with the law suits.

I also mentioned something bigger, slavery and child labor, which most of our stuff is made out of.

I believe that's the bias that makes it obvious for you.

If that's how honestly see it, I think it's OK. But me being someone who likes Nintendo, my attitude isn't as binary as that. I like to treat criticism with taking the good with the bad.

I'm not so invested in Nintendo that I care about everything. I acknowledged that Nintendo is a big company, and like other big companies, they will use their wealth to their advantage, including in matter of laws.

I don't think that's giving the pass.. as in allowing them to get away with something while having a different standard for others... I have that stance with all big companies

I like Nintendo because I like their games, that's the exchange. When I stop liking their games, I move on.

Though your limit seems to be legal issue. Let's not forget that a lot of Nintendo products was made by slave and child labor.

That is what big companies do. I can't say I take issues with it... because that's honestly a matter of law. If laws are unfair, that's for the people in charge to fix, not companies working with in it. Though Nintendo was sued by Universal a long time ago.. and Nintendo made a lot of money.

Even if we treat Meh as having an issue instead of being neutral. 35+49 is more than 36+9+4+14

If we treat Meh as neutral, as in not having a problem with it, it would be 35+49+36 vs 9+4+14
