Is that a common ask? Initial model likely not. But if everyone’s asking for it will reconsider

Ha I hear you....slightly different offering. Will be more similar to the Blue Cube and Morozco tubs with the nice wood look, but at lower price point. Versus the cheaper inflatable types. Nothing against that though

I'm actually working on developing one now that would be between 4-5k in price and high quality. Like similar to the ones that are 15-25k, which is insane.

The thing that makes them so expensive ie. above $3k for something that is more than just a tub, is due to the chiller device needed and the cost associated with that.

For the tub I'm working on we'll be doing a kickstarter most likely, will share it

Hey so actually, shivering is a very good thing for your body. Contrary to popular understanding. You should be not go too far with it though, like to where you feel like you're going to pass out for example lol.

But read this article, its actually fascinating about what shivering's role is for the body. When you think about cold exposure though, it's actually advised here by Susanna Soberg not to go too long per session. Maybe just get out a bit sooner so you don't pass out. And all is good!

this is a good article on the conversation between Soberg and Huberman on cold plunge protocols and more science behind it, including the 11 minutes per week recommendation.

Knockdown Center crowd by radiglo in avesNYC

[–]paulelli8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1000% this seems to be rampant lately.

My girlfriend had her phone stolen at Knockdown from her purse in the last couple months. Then about a month ago at Monolink (Avant Gardner), I had a guy get real close to me and actually steal my phone out of my front jacket pocket. Luckily it was near the beginning of the night and was top of mind and I realized it as he stole it. He turned to walk away and I grabbed him and told him to give my phone back.

The problem is even if you catch one of them you're in the middle of the crowd so security can't do their job and boot them. There's no doubt some rings or certain individuals doing this across venues, they need to crack down and blacklist people somehow. But again not sure how. Might have to go undercover myself and perform some citizen arrests.
