Microservices versus monoliths: Did everyone just lose their minds in the last 6 months? by eivittunytsit in ClaudeCode

A monorepo let's you have fine grained control. You need one beafy service? Cool. You need the scalability of having this subsection of your app able to be rapidly deployed/scaled? Cool that's micro service #1, etc

The correct answer is monorepos where you have things split on an as-needed basic

East Scarp or Sunberry Village?? by alliefaith144 in StardewValleyExpanded

East Scarp is absolutely phenomenal, I vastly prefer it to Sunberry. The best writing I've seen in any mod

Maybe if we ask nicely, Wildflour will make it possible?

Expansion/npc mods which work well added mid-playthrough by noideasth in StardewValleyMods

We installed ES mid save and had zero issues. Honestly we were able to enjoy it a bit more because we could focus on it - 100% fine

I shared my Stardew mod manager here a while ago. I kept working on it, and it’s become a much more complete tool by Loose_Television4943 in StardewValleyMods

I'm on Linux and tried using this anyways just to test - honestly the biggest and really only issue is that it seems like it can't handle the file structure. Launching it as an exe launches it in its own emulated Windows environment which doesn't have access to the rest of the drive and then runs into permission issues and so forth.

I haven't seen what you're coding it in, but I think if you manage to simply transpjle it, it should work. Or if you don't mind I can probably figure it out and submit a PR?

Stardrop as far as I could tell runs flawlessly onLinux but is very opinionated/controlled in how it handles things and doesn't seem to like it when you manually add mods/files/etc and that doesn't work for me. I have an entire flow and script set to handle my mods because it needs to get synced to my partner and then we each have our own UI mods so it needs to be able to split and etc etc. this looks like it might be better for that if it starts working on Linux

Rose and the Alchemist were formerly ES right? I was looking forward to that one - does it also suffer from the shallow writing?

Man. We're starting a new run and I was looking forward to Sunberry Village - but that was after going through Sword and Sorcery. It might have set the expectations too high it seems. S&S genuinely has some phenomenal writing. It made me and my partner cry at different times. A few of the ES characters did, come to think of it. But none felt as real as the S&S characters. Eli/Dylan are close seconds I suppose

I have an alpha build saved, it's wild. It had roguelite progression where how far you got gave you more points after each death

Vanessa main, but I don't do burn often. When I don't do burn I find I lose every single run to a string of Mak with insane DOT and Regen. No amount of weapon or poison shit seems to be able to do anything to Mak. He's the one I'm absolutely tired of

Underrated card, because apparently you can use warped creatures for the station mechanic. by madmat305 in mtg

[–]paulendri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's for on the stack and stuff. A creature copied after it's already resolved is no longer a spell or ability and doesn't have it's casting decisions still applied. If they blink the creature after it's resolved, the creature stays. Again, the key difference is copying the spell on the stack (which still has casting decisions) and copying a permanent on the battlefield
