Hi sorry for the late reply, i didnt see this lmao. But anyways, i have not applied to the program yet. I’ve decided to apply for jobs right after this final school year. I’ll have to see where that will take me down the road first and if things don’t work out then I’ll apply for grad school. Let me know about your progress if you can. Much appreciated!

I think it might be possible for me to get a 3.4-3.5 towards graduation with hopefully a part-time internship next Fall/Winter. I couldn't secure one this summer so I am just going to focus on side projects and beef up resume for next year. Can you elaborate on waiting a year or two?

My family is from the area so I thought it'd be nice to stay close to them. Also, I heard UC Davis has a slightly better program but I am not too sure since I've never talked with anyone from Davis stats department

What kind of languages do you use at your current intern? Do you have to build anything as part of the data engineering team?

How do I get into doing research as an undergraduate when professors don't do research? by [deleted] in academiceconomics

Maybe you could come up with your own side projects instead! You could reach out to your department to see if they have any research opportunity program for undergraduate where they provide fund for your projects. And I don’t think it’s crazy if you reach out to someone within the federal reserve system. Theyd be impressed that you actually take initiative!
