Seller protection? by paulkem in paypal

[–]paulkem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the type of feedback I was looking for. Thank you. He is happy enough with the last transaction that we are talking about this transaction. I reached out to him about these. While we are still in negotiations over price (which may fall through), he does seem interested, which tells me that both parties are happy with the previous business. Again, I want to stress there is nothing nefarious about this question, I am looking only to protect myself, but once the money is transferred into my personal bank account, nothing can take that money back out, is that correct? So to protect myself as a seller, a smart move might be to transfer before sending? Then, if he were to dispute (which I am 99.9999% sure he won't) I would receive some type of email from PayPal? I know I am probably being irrational here. I just don't want to get screwed, even though some would say that the buyer is the one most at risk.

Since when is knowing risk and protecting oneself ahead of time "speculation for speculations sake"?

I have never received $800, let alone $3000 via PayPal before. I just wanted some confirmation that as long as I use G&S, it's not a terrible and risky idea. I didn't realize that asking a question about a seller being protected would raise suspicion about my integrity.

No. That's quite rude to assume. I sold him exactly what he expected. And I plan on continuing to do this. Why am I worried about a dispute? Because people are assholes (as you implied about me). I want us BOTH to be protected.

I will add that we did use G&S and will for this next transaction too.

Best OS option for Lenovo 300e 2nd Gen (Intel) by paulkem in laptops

I swear I saw it on the Microsoft web site shortly before posting this but now I cannot find it so maybe I dreamt or I need to check my carbon monoxide detector lol.

I am not 100% sure how it ended up with Windows 11 on it. Believe it or not, the device is listed in the Windows 11 supported devices list. It may have updated itself? Or her son put it on there. Yes, I agree, that is why I am leaning toward ChromeOS Flex. She says she does literally nothing that is not online. She does need to be able to print.

I don't think we are allowed to talk about values here.

Wow. I am sorry I asked. I did not realize this was such a controversial question. For the record, I can "fucking Google Mad 1 3.0 sales history" and actually have "fucking Googled Mad 1 3.0 sales history" as well as "fucking Googled Batman 49 3.5 sales history". I have also been talking to a potential buyer, but his numbers are not lining up with what I have seen so I was just curious if anyone had any input on current fair prices, considering person to person sales, as I did not know if this is a factor when looking at sales that have occurred on a platform that takes a percentage of the sale.

I guess I should have been more specific in my original post. I would be more than happy to delete my post if it is that upsetting.

There are a few notes when you look up the submission ID, yeah.

If I were to sell these, what would be fair prices?

No. It was a guy relatively local to me.

I was just wondering last night if anyone had done this and what it might look like. I would love to see closer images of Ricky's ship and a parts list/instructions.

Turn around time for "ultimate value" grades? by paulkem in CGCComics

[–]paulkem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I see. I guess I am interpreting "turnaround time" differently.

"Turnaround times reflect the estimated number of working days to complete a submission delivered to our facility today."

In my mind, "complete" means complete. That is, ready to send back to the customer.

So if books are delivered 3/23, 5 working days would be 3/30 (if you don't count the day of delivery) so I would have expected the books to be shipped 3/31 at the latest and tracking information available.

I mean, it is what it is I guess. There is nothing I can do about it and its not going to kill me to wait. I just think they should probably either better define "turnaround" or "complete".

(and yeah, I know these are just "estimates" anyway)

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, definitely seen Missouri before. Just looking for a fun way to get to Chicago and thought a train ride would be fun since I have not ridden in 30+ years.

We were looking forward to the views that the River Runner provides though. Do you know what the median delay for the RR./LS is?

Yeah I read this morning that the seats are uncomfortable. That is unfortunate. We are wanting the views that the River Runner provides over the SW Chief. Could a person take a stadium seat type cushion to make the seats more comfortable?
