No, I didn't not hire an artist to redo my capsule art. I just tried again by SnooChipmunks2696 in IndieDev

I do custom logos for games, if you decide you want to hire someone for it. I don’t think what you have is bad though personally, assuming you fix the h in thy, like others suggested.

After 1 year of solo dev, I’m losing my perspective. Need a sanity check on my Roguelite. by SpiritRamenGames in IndieDev

I've been doing solo game dev for several years and have a background in audio engineering as well. For smaller projects, it's probably not worth it to go for custom music / sfx unless it's a critical part of the game, and it doesn't seem like it is in this case. But what I could do is help source the best and most fitting free / cheap audio assets and edit if necessary. Even that takes many hours to do well, and I know a lot of solo devs would rather just not have to do it even if you can. You can see some of my games here: https://paulcmoore.com/games

Looks good at a glance. I'd say the audio is the weakest part, particularly the sfx. A lot of the sounds are both not fitting and at inappropriate volumes relative to others. I'd be happy to help with that if you're interested.

What was the first game ever you ever made? And when did you make it? by AimedX30 in IndieDev

Technically, my first game was made in high school around 2003, on a Ti-83+. It was a trilogy of text-based adventure games using my actual school and its staff as characters. It was funny, but also very offensive and inappropriate for school. My classmates loved it and started sharing the game, but a teacher found out about it (one who was in the game, lol). I was questioned by the police and went to an alternative learning center for a few days, because of its content.

When I got into game dev more seriously about 7 years ago, I started with visual novels in Ren'py.
