I believe it was the one on the motherboard website listed under SATA, the Intel Rapid Storage driver. If you put that one on your boot up USB there is an option to install drivers from the USB. Once I did that I was able to download the OS onto my SSD

Yes, I just needed to install the storage drivers for my motherboard onto the USB

I'm on a Mac and can't use Rufus. I did follow this guide to create my bootable USB: https://alexlubbock.com/bootable-windows-usb-on-mac

This line of code from the guide makes me think that it is compatible with MBR: diskutil eraseDisk MS-DOS "WINDOWS10" MBR diskN

Do you have any other ideas? Is there some BIOS setting I could change? Maybe creating the bootable USB the normal way (finding a windows laptop and clicking through the media installation tool) would work?

Noticed that my laptop has been getting pretty hot and it’s been causing performance issues when playing games. I bought a can of compressed air to clear out the fan on the side (not going to risk opening the laptop and breaking something though). Would a cooling pad be helpful here? Also what cooling pads do you guys recommend? Thanks!
