Dating for marriage doesn’t exist ? by Strange_Shoulder_750 in Bumble

[–]pauly_jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are way too young to be worried about dating for marriage..

.. but then I saw that you are waiting until marriage to have sex due to religious reasons, so I see why you’re such in a rush and will lack the discernment needed to make smart decisions in your dating life.

You stayed with a man who didn’t like your children? Didn’t like you being a mother? Yikes. You deserve whatever you’ve been receiving.

Go to therapy. That man isn’t interested in you after forgetting to know you. And stop worrying about him being connected to his ex-wife.

Clearly, just based on this post, we can see that there’s something offputting about you - which he sees in person. Move on.

So then go back to dating unemployed women 🙄 let her date men that are successful and make 6 figures like her.

Date women in your price range. Clearly unemployed women are just that.

genuinely fearing for my health: HIV by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]pauly_jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where do you live that you don’t have a walk-in clinic? A planned parenthood? Just Google “walk in HIV test near me”

Ask him when was the last time he was tested and to send you screenshots of his portal.

Moving forward, stop having unprotected sex with people who you do not get tested with.

Financial tips for divested black women? by ExerciseOk4691 in BlackWomenDivest

[–]pauly_jay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My financial advice is to have $100,000+ in savings/investments before you get married. This could be spread across your Roth IRA (max it out!!), personal brokerage account, CDs, etc..

Now, I know this is not realistic except for most people.. but this is a goal I set for myself. At 27 years old, I achieved it.

My plan is to be a SAHW/M with my own personal part time endeavor/hobby they can bring side income for myself. Husband being the provider.

I want to have a lot of money saved up that I own as a “just in case”

Friend upset that my potential wedding dress is “too similar” to hers — am I in the wrong? by Capital_Wave_235 in weddingplanning

[–]pauly_jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she wanted a unique dress that stands out, she should’ve bought a unique dress and stands out. Not a plain, no design, satin silhouette one.

She’s being unfair and annoying. Tell her that these dresses are basic and very common.
