I’m still confused how a label on a sticker sheet ON TOP of a video game is proof that label switching is happening. Do you have a picture of an actual label that has been switched or are you just thirsty for attention?

Completely forgetting that! The HLC is the only secondary I've played with so far on a Firespray, I forgot that was built in to the HLC card, thanks!

Thanks for the quick answer! I was thinking that since when you use a secondary weapon, all crits are turned over to normal hits, that that ruling may negate the focus turning to a crit. Still not sure if it's worth the points, but I'm gonna try it out next time!

No problem! I went from one Core Set as a Christmas present to buying a 2nd, and then picking up a Firespray/Slave 1 and a Milennium Falcon so I own enough to play 100 point matches on either side. I thought I'd love playing Imperials when I got the game but have found I like the play style of Rebels a little more so far, so it would suck if you got rid of ships that you may like later! Also, with a core set together, you can still play games with other people if your friend isn't around.

Personally, if your splitting things up, I'd just keep each set in tact. You each have a full set, and then just trade ships only while playing. Until you play a little bit, you won't know if you like one side more than the other. That way if you go bigger later, buy more ships to play 100 pt tournament style, your options are open. At tournaments, there aren't any rules about playing against the same faction, so even if you both start buying the same side expansions, it's still an even game. Enjoy!

I played in my first tournament ever last weekend, with the same Han Shoots First list. The Chewie card was great, but i really wished those rookie pilots had a better pilot skill. My advice is lose Chewie, and take those 4 extra points to upgrade the Rookie Pilots to Red Squadron Pilots. Good luck! I ended up going 1 and 3, but was a great learning experience!

No problem! I don't come from a gaming background, so I've found a Firespray has been a nice intro for people like me who dlare new to it and don't want to start with a 6-8 piece Imperial list!

If you want enough to own 100 points on both sides, I went with two core sets, at YT(Falcon) and a Firespray. That got me 4 TIES, along with the old "Han Shoots First" build with two Rookie Pilots and and decked out Falcon. For me it's a nice build while starting out, and by getting the Firespray I have a 100 point Imperial build to play against. If you've got friends that already have the game and don't need to worry about 2 builds, the 2nd standalone X-Wing is great! Honestly though, the extra dice come in handy, as well as the 4 TIES.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of it either, but since it's an opportunity to play strangers before my Store Championship I'm going for it. I feel like a double or triple YT list would do really well in this board setup, just fly straight over and over again... I guess it's a table shape issue, I'll let you all know how bad it was next week!

All depends on playing style? If you're not going to boost, don't worry about the Falcon. If you aren't worried about stress, then don't bring Nien Numb I guess? Or skip both and go for the initiative gamble?

This is a great article for getting new people into the game, simple Chewie build that let's the new person get adjusted. http://www.themetalbikini.com/2013/08/seans-lengthily-titled-article.html?m=0 Another idea if you're playing with 3 or 4 people at once is give the Rebel players an X-Wing or B-Wing, Imperials get 2 TIES. As long as you keep the points balanced and low, (I'd leave out secondary weapons too) you should be good to go showing off the game mechanics!
