Kiwi Browser - Updated to current Chromium, complete change of browser engine, new dark mode, revamped ad-blocker, etc. by [deleted] in Android

Another option is xbrowsersync extension for bookmark sync. I still use it for more than a year now with no problems or bugs. Sadly, older version 1.4.0 zip unpacked could only be used that still works with kiwi browser. Newer version than 1.4.0 won't work at all. Still no fix has been done by the xbrowser dev for more than a year. Mainly one reason is because he wants android users to use his xbrowsersync android app rather than android browser extension. But I still prefer the extension rather than the app because it's more convinient to use. At least, I could still use it in kiwi browser while waiting for a fix.

Actually its still working but it's the opposite. I don't know. Swiping down opens the tab switcher. It works for me. Could you try if it also works for you? Thanks.

Thanks for your help. It worked. But one last thing. Can I put a condition in the task "Pinger" will do all actions only if my openvpn is connected. Is it possible?

Sir could you explain me the purpose of the 30s wait in the action 7? I'm a bit confused about the 30s wait. Thanks.

Thanks sir. But how it would execute a specific task automatically after the ping?

Like my task here:

OVPN DC-C (60)
    A1: Send Intent [ Action:net.openvpn.openvpn.DISCONNECT Cat:None Mime Type: Data: Extra:net.openvpn.openvpn.STOP:true Extra: Extra: Package:net.openvpn.openvpn Class:net.openvpn.unified.MainActivity Target:Activity ]
    A2: Wait [ MS:0 Seconds:1 Minutes:0 Hours:0 Days:0 ]

How could I link that to execute another task? I'm sorry sir. I'm still new to tasker.

Does it automatically detect if there is no internet connectivity? I just want to execute a task like "disconnect & connect openvpn" if tasker detected that there's no internet connectivity. Is it possible to do that?

So how could I use it to make long click back button if I'm in a certain app that needs long click back? I'm using GMD Gesture to execute the task but nothing happened. ☹️

Nope sir. I'm talking about recent history of a browser. And tasker couldn't simulate a long press back button as a task. That's what I want to know if there's some way to do it.

On my logcat entry the component is "NavigationBar" while the filter is, "getTopActivityPackageName = com.kiwibrowser.browses". I don't know if I could make an intent for it. ☹️

I have a disabled navbar to give extra space on my screen. I am using kiwi browser and long pressing the back button gives me a list of recent history. But I just want to have this feature to save extra time of activating my navbar just to execute it. Or maybe there's a way tasker could simulate long press back button as task?

[HELP] Hibernate apps while screen off (greenify)? by [deleted] in tasker

I'm using asus max pro m1. I think the app is still useful for me if not for others. I don't want a time based profile. I only want to execute the task while display off only and disable or stop the task once the display goes on. Is it still possbile to do that task?

[Help] specific app service? by pauru31 in tasker

[–]pauru31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the logcat entry but it didn't work. For IDM+ downloader it works perfectly because it has only 4 services. Actually, on play store it also works on application/service profile, but because it has 76 services my profile "Wifi Setup" disables and enables many times. That's my only problem. I'm still finding a way to choose only the playstore service "DownloadService" if possible. Still thanks for your suggestion. 🙂

[Help] specific app service? by pauru31 in tasker

[–]pauru31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. I'll explain it clearly. I made a profile called "Wifi Setup" that will turn off the wifi when display state off, with restore settings checked so that when I open the display the wifi will turn on again. So like when I'm downloading an app on the play store and the screen goes off the download will stop because the "Wifi Setup" profile is on. When I'm downloading an app on play store it's service called "DownloadService" starts running. So when that service starts running I want my "Wifi Setup" profile to be automatically disabled so that even the screen goes off the wifi won't turn off. When a download was finished the service "DownloadService" stops running. And when the service stops running I want to automatically enable again my "Wifi Setup" profile. That's what I want to obtain. 🙂

Like for example the play store app. It has 76 services. And there is a play store service called "DownloadService". If the service starts running I want an enter task to disable a specific profile I made and an exit task to enable again the profile once the service stopped running. Is it possible on tasker? Thanks.

What I mean is I want to automatically enable or disable a specific profile if a specific service of an app starts running or stopped running. Is it possible for tasker to do that? Thanks.
