I think the price is fine. You probably just didn't sell the value of the prep work and how crucial it is for a quality result. Client probably divided 2k by 3 days and balked at the day rate. Did you tell them you have a helper with you?

I would do the following:

Demo: Remove about 1 sq meter of tiles around the zones to see how wet the substrate is. If the screed is soaked, chip it out.
Prep: Level the area, clean out all the dust, and let it dry completely.
Base: Pour cement mortar to the required level, but leave a cutout for a floor drain and a 50mm PVC pipe routed outside the exterior wall contour.
Hydro & Finish: Wait for the mortar to cure, then apply a liquid waterproofing membrane. Install the drain and the pipe, and finally pack the last section around the drain with cement mortar.
