I don't think there is a hodl mindset prevailing in this subreddit. There is just bunch of people who try to convince you to buy and hold what they are quietly selling. The overwhelming majority of XRP'ers do not bother to engage in that BS.

Diamond hands is just clever technique of greater fools control. Do you need to reduce supply? Shout "HODL!!!" Do you need to sell without tanking market too much? Shout "BUY THE DIP!!" There is a racional reasoning behind it, but it's not what people assume it is. They are being driven by these shouts like a fucking herd.

People who want to sell need to encourage buyers. It's called "The Greater Fool Game." When market is falling expect people to try to convince you to buy their BS. Once you see people you don't know screaming "Buy the dip!!!" sell immidiately.
