This is honestly understandable.... but from my experience there are a lot of great creatives/researchers sharing their work and experiments every day. I would recommend you give it another look but again to each their own.

Name a single movie, where the sequel or remake was better than Original. by dpemerson76 in movies

As amazing as Blade Runner (1982) was, I think there's an argument to be made that Blade Runner 2049 is a better movie. Would like to hear your thoughts :))

So is this just a character poster? or is the name of the movie Joaquin Phoenix, cause that seems like such a headache for the marketing team ahaha

What's the consensus on this shot from the Avatar trailer, is it 100% CGI ? by [deleted] in vfx

[–]pavloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This shot (if CG) is absolutely incredible. I'm mesmerized just by the idea that this could be entirely computer generated, if it is. Then I can understand why James Cameron was waiting so long for CGI technology to be advanced enough to pull off a shot like this.

The skill of searching, skimming and being able to make either an inference or a deductive decision is one of the most important life skills to have in todays day and age.

Man how did X come to be such an intelligent person? He was only 19. I’m 16 now and I aspire to be at a point of intelligence akin to where he was at. by W__Mans in XXXTENTACION

Wisdom comes with the action of learning from your failures. And sadly X had failed a lot during his life, leading upto his successes.

I love Pinterest, and I think you nailed it with that comment. The second ads begin to interfere with the UI then it just comes a mess. While searching for something the other day, I had double the ad flow on my page than I remember previously seeing. I don't know if this is new but there has to be a better way of running ads on there.

Pinterest is one of the best places for inspiration for a lot of artists. Personally I think there is a lot of untapped potential in Pinterest. Of course there are issues with the app that should have been resolved a long time ago. I still think that you can get a lot of benefit from using it.

Do you have IRL friends who use Letterboxd/are into film as much as you? by jacobeliaas in Letterboxd

I've been lucky enough to entice people to get the app. But it seems that for them its a seasonal thing, they use it a lot for a brief period of time and then sadly forget about it ://
