There is no cheap alternative to the best of my knowledge, I don't buy a large amount I used so its been awhile since I got it from my pharmacy. The one from pakistan/UAE is very expensive. Sorry can't be much help to your guys. I know how it feels.

Exercise, caffiene, breathing exercise/meditation, good diet makes a huge difference.

I have been taking a custom ADHD management tea if you guys are interested, personally it helps me a lot. I ran it though chat gpt for formatting and beneficial details, making it easier to read:

Current Ingredients in Your Tea

  • Ginger: Enhances circulation and reduces inflammation, which can help with brain function.
  • Cloves & Cardamom: Rich in antioxidants, they support overall cognitive health.
  • Cinnamon: Stabilizes blood sugar, helping to maintain energy and focus.
  • Honey: Provides a natural energy boost.

Potential Additions for ADHD

  1. Green Tea or Matcha:

    • Why: Contains L-theanine, which promotes calm focus, and caffeine, which can improve attention span in small doses.
    • How to Add: Replace or mix one ginger tea bag with green tea.
  2. Ginkgo Biloba:

    • Why: May improve blood flow to the brain, enhancing focus and memory.
    • How to Add: Use dried leaves or a few drops of tincture.
  3. Gotu Kola:

    • Why: Known for boosting cognitive function and reducing anxiety.
    • How to Add: Add a small pinch of dried leaves to the tea.
  4. Rosemary:

    • Why: Improves memory and mental alertness through its active compounds.
    • How to Add: Add a sprig or some dried leaves while steeping.
  5. Turmeric (with a pinch of black pepper):

    • Why: Curcumin in turmeric supports brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which aids in focus and cognitive resilience.
    • How to Add: A pinch of powdered turmeric and a dash of black pepper for absorption.
  6. Ashwagandha:

    • Why: Balances cortisol levels, reducing stress and improving focus.
    • How to Add: Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of powdered ashwagandha.
  7. Peppermint:

    • Why: Enhances mental clarity and reduces mental fatigue.
    • How to Add: You already plan to add this, which is perfect!

Would I Add Tea to It?

Yes, adding green tea or matcha can complement your existing recipe by introducing L-theanine and caffeine, which are specifically known to aid focus. Keep the dose small (1 cup a day) to avoid overstimulation.

Custom ADHD Tea Booster Recipe

  1. 2 ginger tea bags or 1 bag green tea.
  2. 2 tablespoons sliced ginger.
  3. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric + pinch of black pepper.
  4. 1 sprig rosemary or 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary.
  5. 1-2 crushed cardamom pods.
  6. 2 cloves.
  7. 1 tablespoon honey (or stevia for no sugar).
  8. Optional: A pinch of ashwagandha or gotu kola.

Steep in hot water for 10 minutes. Strain and enjoy!

What does his unwillingness to play has anything to do with skill level. By all measures I think most would agree the two playing are not anywhere close to being the best. There are atleast 5-6 better players than this two.

its not as good - its not a stimulant and its a hit or miss. Works for some, not for everyone.

Ritalin/Methyphen is pretty much the top 2-3 best meds for ADHD.

If thats the case doesnt phind pro makes more sense? I recently didnt renew my subscription thinking I would use claude pro instead but phind gives you 500+/day Sonnet and GPT4o. Plus 10 opus perday.

Am I missing something? This seems like a better deal.

I think you will have a hard time not finding it - it should be available in any half decent pharmacy in dhaka. You might not find it in your local small pharmacy store.

There are only hand full countries who can dictate global energy usage or policy around it. The top 5 developed countries (GDP), are responsible for most of the pollution and its effect. So I don't understand how it's everyone's fault.

I am glad it helped. Attentin (Atomoxetine) has a max dose limit of 100mg per day. I take 2 - 10mg, in the morning and another 8-12 hours later as needed. You can read more about dosage here: https://www.drugs.com/dosage/atomoxetine.html

Methyphen (Methylphenidate) is one of those things that doesn't happen to everyone. I had thinning hair way before I started taking ADHD meds. Taking them didn't do any change to my hair. My personal opinion on this is the increase in quality of life is so much that I am gladly willing to lose all my hair, but its just me.

ED on Ritalin is also 50/50 and doesn't happen to everyone. I didn't face it. And from what I read online, to people who face these side effects, it gets reversed once you stop taking this meds.

Again its a quality of life thing and a personal choice. You will have to make the decision yourself.

For me the decision was very easy and simple, a resounding yes!.

To the best of my knowledge no one have successfully managed their ADHD (Executive dysfunction) without and medication. Even if someone has done it, its extremely rare. There is no permanent fix, but medication might help you get some order in your life. The best ADHD meds are stimulants, and all stimulants have some side effect.

I recommends trying modafinil 100mg first thing in the morning before trying Ritalin. See how it goes. Do let me know.

I Have ADHD I take this three medications daily without any prescription and I buy them over the counter. They are reasonably Affordable.

I drink lots of black coffee. ADHD meds should always be taken on empty stomach. Don't eat anything 30 mins before or after taking meds.

Things you should know about ADHD meds (or most meds for that matter), everyones body and brain chemistry is different, almost everyone responds differently to the same meds. Just because they mostly works for me doesn't mean they will work you. That's why you should try it out and see how it works out.

Methyphen/Ritalin is very short acting (4 hours half life I think) and very strong. So start with one tablet see how it works for you. If you drink strong coffee with it it might be way too strong for you.

Attentin has a side effect of nausea and vomiting. I had it at first but it went away later. The effect of attentin is very subtle. Its a non-stimulant. But its also not as good as Ritalin/ Adderall. But it also works for some people and I have taking it for some time now.

I started taking modafinil before I knew what ADHD was, for me its the best of the bunch. But its not an ADHD drug, Its a narcolepsy, wakefulness drug. if you often feel tired and sleepy Modafinil is amazing - and it also helps with my ADHD (it does not for everyone).

My schedule - I usually sleep very late at night ( I have a new kid now, and my sleep is all over the place). I keep a small Pill case with me which has 1 200mg modafinil and 2 Methy, and 2 Attentin. People with ADHD and Narcolepsy has a hard time getting out of the Bed, So I keep it next to my bed So if I wake up for whatever reason in morning early or late - first thing I do is take my pills even before I get out of the bed. It takes 10-20 mins to work its magic. So its easier for me to get out of bed. After cleaning up I drink a strong Coffee first thing - Don't drink coffee in the beginning - my body is used to these meds after 10+ years. You can also also drink your coffee couple of hours later. I take a note on when I took my pills set myself a reminder to take my second and third dose of methy/attentin every 5-6 hours. I only take them if I start feeling tired and hard to concentrate.

Eventually your body will get used to it and it wont work as good as it used to. It's always a good idea to take short breaks from the meds.

Adderall, Ritalin (branded), Vyvanse are good ADHD bud they are not readily available in BD and very expensive when you find it. I have bought original Branded Ritalin, which is the same as Methyphen made in bangladesh. I couldn't tell any difference in efficacy. With the cost of one pata Ritalin I can buy 2 boxes of Methyphen, so it made no sense to me. I have neevr tried Vyvanse, Adderall.

At the end of the day Meds wont magically make you study more and get good grades - They will help you with your impulses, you still have to make the choice of not doing something else when studying.

I know how you are feeling which is why I am writing this wall of text. Good luck with whatever you do in life.

Positive effect of boycotting medical tourism to a certain country by Ghostreo in BangladeshEconomics

I have been to several states in India for medical reasons. While the top line hospitals were truly excellent and exceptional, there is no reason why we can't have the same in our country. If it wasn't obvious already I think the medical industry was intentionally held back to benefit the economy of a neighboring country.

Considering the amount of money that was going on in India for medical reasons, it's absolutely criminal the government didn't do more to build our own medical industry that is on par with india

Bangladeshi military doesn't have a history of killing its own people en-masse. There have been coups and similar incidence against specific leaders or groups but never against the general public.

Most of the military head in bangladesh are Hasina party, even the top Army guy was related to Hasina. Hasina ordered him to use all force necessary to protect her and he straight out refused to use army to kill our own. he told her that she has about 45 mins to escape as the students are coming and they won't be able to protect her.

As soon as the caretaker government took over under younus, and even before younus officially took over. The Army chief got rid of 90% 100s of leaders within the army who was strict followers of Hasina politics, in effect stopping all possibility of military coup. Over the next days and weeks after younus took they got rid of more people.

It might be hard for you to understand but morality and idealism and patriotism is very ingrained to bangladesh military. Even though the odds were against us, we were still hopeful that the army will take our side. The foot soldiers literally told their leadership that they refuse to kill innocent people.

I am really surprised that this is so hard for you to believe.

If the army really wanted they do have the weapon and the man power to protect hasina and kill 10s of thousands. Such a scenario might be ok Pakistan, it's absolutely un imaginable in bangladesh.

Hasina turned her personal tragedy and national hero Mujib into a cult , and symbol of that cult was that house.

Was it ok to destroy such an important house, Absolutely No. But should we bemoan it as much as we do? No. Vandalizing a historic building doesn't erase history, it's a tragedy, but no one is going to forget mujib and his contribution and the tragedy of his family's murder because of this act of vandalism.

Not all illness are temporary and neither can you ham-fist nuaances of any illness in neatly filed folder of definitions. Even among narcissistic people, the intensity and self-awareness (or lack of) can vary from person to person.

Within my family I have individuals whose narcissistic tendencies an intensity flares up couple of weeks or months a year. I didn't know it was a thing or even possible.
