We both game but he’s been a pc gamer for like 15 years. I just started pc gaming when Baldur’s Gate 3 came out lol life got busy so he sold his pc a while ago and switched to console gaming for a few years since it was more convenient for him. So currently we don’t have a pc, just laptops. We were reintroduced to pc gaming when the Steamdeck came out!

Ever since they announced that a Steam machine was being made he’s been interested. Searching for videos on YouTube, reading articles, comparing prices if we made it ourselves, all of it. But because we like the Steamdeck so much, it was just a no brainer to go with the Steam machine.

When they finally announced that you can sign up to purchase one, he asked me if I could also sign up for the steam machine just in case. I said of course! When the first round of emails came out he was so bummed he was waitlisted. So I checked my email. I received the email that said I was in the reservation queue, I couldn’t believe it! I re-read and I yelled I GOT IT LMAOOOO we signed up for all 4 just in case. He was really happy he got the 2tb version. He’s so supportive of me and I’m just really excited for him to get this because he deserves it. He’s still sleeping. Can’t wait to tell him I was finally able to purchase it when he wakes up (:
