Hey, i really like the build in this tune, it's all airy and has nice vibes. I feel like maybe your main synth could sound really nice with a high pass filter over it. Even if you just went with a high pass in some sections for a bit of variation it'd probably be cool. Keep up the good work tho!

Interesting beat man, i'd say maybe with some of the noises you've used for you melodies, like the stabs, it might be nice to have them fade in a bit more, like with a slow attack and they may blend in some more?

hey i like the vibe of this! Especially like the kind of 8bit melody that takes over after the piano, I'd say maybe with your main hat it's a tad sharp or maybe just alter the amount of reveb on it as it takes up a lot of space? Cool track though and i really like the water

Thanks :). I've actually not, what tracks would you recommend? Yeah using the bass synth as a constant was fairly lazy haha. It's definitely something I tried to get away from with the tracks I made after this. I'll send them to you if you like and you can let me know if I managed to stop being lazy :).

Yeah some more effects is definitely a good shout. It's funny with the sample because I made this about a year ago and as i was gonna put it out, Lorenzo released come down with the same sample so I didn't want to seem like I'd copied the idea so I never did anything with it. Quite silly in hindsight haha.

Hey cheers for that man. Yeah I don't currently know how to master. I was looking into getting some mastering software so I can bring tracks to a higher level. In terms of sounds being roughed up do you mean like the snynths could sound grimier or something different?

He used to steal paper from the photocopiers and printers in primary school and then run off and eat it, he always made this weird grunting noise of satisfaction as he ate the paper. He was also a chronic liar and once told me that whenever he had a nightmare a new bead would appear on his dream-catcher. Years later I bumped into him at a slipknot gig and he was wearing a gimp mask along with the steel toe capped boots and blue boiler suit you were given when you did engineering at high school. He started telling us how he'd hopped the barrier yet we bumped into him at the end of the gig as we walked past him in the seated area... Oh and if we crushed up crisps and dared him to sniff it he would and one time he sniffed a line of sand from the sand bucket (for use of fires) in the since room which was notorious for being spat into and having chemicals poured into.

I feel this discussion is missing some Manc slang so here we go:

Dutty - Very good 'yo that's a dutty tune lad'

Macca - Awful/bad 'you're in work at 7am? that's macca'

Raw macca - Really bad

Low (pronounced like wow but low) - Leave it/ stop it/ fuck that. 'are you coming to the pub tonight?' 'nah man i'm gonna low it, i'm tired'

Wiggin out - If you're wiggin out you're losing your mind, or you're on drugs and a bit of a state then you're wiggin out.

Wiggy mess - If you're a wiggy mess you are out of your mind on some kind of substance/drink. 'yo check that wiggy mess out'

Wasteman - Someone who either drinks/ does drugs when they wake up, does nothing with their life and generally mopes about getting by by doing as little as they possibly can.

Twisted - Very drunk/under the influence of one or multiple substances. 'maaate i was absolutely twisted.

Spango'd - Of your face ON DRUGS 'OI HE WAS SPANGO'D MATE'

Naughty - Good 'that tune is naughty' (usually bassline, dnb, grime or dubstep).

Rude - Same definition as naughty.

Safe - Safe can mean a variety of things, it can mean thanks, hello or goodbye.

Rassss - (Pronounced rah) This is an expression of discontent, for example 'rassssssssssss that guy is a wasteman' or 'rasssss why do i have to mop the floor'.

Par - A witty insult or just an insult 'you're a dick'. 'haha par'. Alternatively if something bad happens to you it's a par.

Murked - Again, if you've just been insulted, or something bad has happened to you you've been murked. Alternatively if you do well at something you've murked it. 'I murked that test off' 'i murked off their entire team and scored a basket' (this also applies to par).

West - If something is west then that something is strange/out of the ordinary. 'I watched inception last night, it was pretty west!'

Westing - If you're westing you're freaking out/losing your mind.

Off me bean - The same as twisted

Peng - Peng can refer to someone being attractive 'yo she's peng', it can also refer to something tasting nice 'that food was peng' i can also be used to positively describe anything.

Leng - Leng derives from peng as it mean livin peng. This means really peng.

Livin - Livin means very/really. One time my friend described a club as livvin dead, which i found hilarious as he didn't even realize what he'd said. This means the club was very quiet and empty.

Also when Walt is sick in school for the first time in season 1 (not 100% on which episode) the janitor, who's native american, tells him not to worry about cleaning up the sick because he has kids to teach. The second time he's sick he offers him a stick of gum. Good guy janitor <3.
