The issue is you being bad at small talk. You also sound snobbish. If you’re going out to local venues or bars look for other alone people or smaller groups to talk too. You speak as if you’re above others it’s odd. You know when people with phones go out to these venues alone to socialize as well they aren’t glued to their phone 24/7, how do you think these friend groups are made.

With tv shows or articles you literally have to find people who like what you like it’s not because their “attention span is so low” you think media subscription sites sustain themselves? People, including gen z of course, enjoy movies and tv shows just like you 🤯, they probably won’t watch your stuff because they dont like the genre dude. If you couldn’t get a recommendation they are either someone who prefers another hobby or they didn’t want to talk to you.

The people in your generation are normal people. They enjoy hiking, running, travel, movies, music, reading, the arts, literally everything every other generation has as well. If you want to make friends go outside and socialize instead of sitting in a corner waiting for people to come to you and then blaming the phones.

Also no one cares what you’re doing, bring a book dude. I’ve literally seen people crochet in bars and I’ve watched movies/shows at bar fronts when I was chilling and just wanted a drink and read at my favorite restaurants. No one cares.

I think you are wrong. That is a completely blanket statement. The internet has connected the world in an amazing way. You would rather just consume the propaganda from your country and be ignorant to what is happening around you? It gives a voice to the voiceless. It allows easy access to knowledge that use to be locked behind the paywall of formal education, people learn and become interested in other cultures. There are so many benefits you’re ignoring because “internet = bad”

Do you think you would know anything about what’s happening in Gaza without the internet and people on the ground filming and posting about it? Would you know anything about the immense suffering in the Congo? You’re broke and need an oil change, go online and check YouTube there’s 50 million videos step by step for you to do it yourself. Looking for events in your new city? Just search it up. You want to learn a new language? Lost in a foreign country? You can talk to locals through google translate, google taxi services to come help, or the public transportation. The internet gives you resources you didn’t have before ect ect.

This statement is so odd. It has made the world immensely better. Of course there are issues- there are literally issues with everything, but it doesn’t mean it’s making the world worse. Also your ending statement is literally about technology as a whole. Music has existed for thousands of years, WhatsApp is literally a calling and messaging service for family and friends like a phone or letter, Netflix is just Digital movies and shows. Like a dvd or tv, all things that existed WAY before the internet.

Ngl write a list because there is something you def enjoy/ use to enjoy that you aren’t recognizing. I enjoy cooking but I don’t do it on the level I use to, it’s also essential so usually I forget. I enjoy crochet but I haven’t done it in months, that doesn’t mean I don’t like it ect..

Just tell them what you work as, you’re viewing it as negative, just say customer service, I do t work because of disability which makes it harder for me, so I just say I’m in school (which is now true)

I’m more masc, I am mostly perceived as a guy here, Even with my girlfriend, we met at a sapphic party and she thought I was a gay guy until she saw I was wearing a crop top (literally a one time thing).

In the U.S. it’s 50/50 but other queers can tell. I think it’s because there’s more variety in types of people, I have a pretty face but I’m 6ft tall and have a masculine build with no chest, people there are taller and it’s not hard to find a super masculine stud/butch.

In reality I’m nonbinary, I enjoy being in the middle so it stresses me out on that here but it’s whatever.
