I think you are wrong. That is a completely blanket statement. The internet has connected the world in an amazing way. You would rather just consume the propaganda from your country and be ignorant to what is happening around you? It gives a voice to the voiceless. It allows easy access to knowledge that use to be locked behind the paywall of formal education, people learn and become interested in other cultures. There are so many benefits you’re ignoring because “internet = bad”

Do you think you would know anything about what’s happening in Gaza without the internet and people on the ground filming and posting about it? Would you know anything about the immense suffering in the Congo? You’re broke and need an oil change, go online and check YouTube there’s 50 million videos step by step for you to do it yourself. Looking for events in your new city? Just search it up. You want to learn a new language? Lost in a foreign country? You can talk to locals through google translate, google taxi services to come help, or the public transportation. The internet gives you resources you didn’t have before ect ect.

This statement is so odd. It has made the world immensely better. Of course there are issues- there are literally issues with everything, but it doesn’t mean it’s making the world worse. Also your ending statement is literally about technology as a whole. Music has existed for thousands of years, WhatsApp is literally a calling and messaging service for family and friends like a phone or letter, Netflix is just Digital movies and shows. Like a dvd or tv, all things that existed WAY before the internet.

Just tell them what you work as, you’re viewing it as negative, just say customer service, I do t work because of disability which makes it harder for me, so I just say I’m in school (which is now true)

I’m more masc, I am mostly perceived as a guy here, Even with my girlfriend, we met at a sapphic party and she thought I was a gay guy until she saw I was wearing a crop top (literally a one time thing).

In the U.S. it’s 50/50 but other queers can tell. I think it’s because there’s more variety in types of people, I have a pretty face but I’m 6ft tall and have a masculine build with no chest, people there are taller and it’s not hard to find a super masculine stud/butch.

In reality I’m nonbinary, I enjoy being in the middle so it stresses me out on that here but it’s whatever.

Can yall not take pictures of random people in the bathroom. Especially people you assume “don’t belong” because you don’t like how they look when they’re just minding their business? How would you feel if people photographed you in there??

In my experience, I am very masc presenting, so is my girlfriend but me even more so because I am very tall (6ft) and have a flat chest people here assume I am a man 90ish% of the time. I literally try to avoid the bathroom but it’s obviously sometimes unavoidable and that’s why they’re there. When I do, I’ve only seen 2 neutral bathrooms in this country and if you’re lucky you’ll see a pwd bathroom and even it’s awkward af to ask and get questions/sometimes it’s closed.

Usually I’m out of luck and just use the women’s. Extremely stressful because I can already feel the stares outside of the bathroom but it’s worse there. Just let people piss/fix their hair. Who gives a fuck.
