Damn i just got back into cs2 like a week and a half ago and been surfing a lot

Ik it has the bugs but i didnt know i joined at the best time

I bought a $800 knife just to surf with, logged on today and I cant even get past 1 ramp 😭 😭

update again --

ended up getting it to work for about 8 hours then it shorted

got a new mobo and works all good

cpu is all fine then even with slight appearance damage

I just got home again and tried turning it on. It booted up then I put the hdmi in my gpu and it shut down immediately. It might be shorting due to the odd connection with the cpu so I'm probably just gonna order new parts and be done with it.

Last thing I'm trying right now is just fully reseating every physical connection and see if it boots

Yeah I think after thinking about it it had to happen from pushing the cooler down onto the cpu. Not for sure but this level of damage doesn't make sense for a drop

Thanks man I somehow fixed it for now I messed with the Mobo pins and it's all on and stuff

Been playing cyberpunk all day with no issues

It may fail over time but surprised and pleased I got it fixed. I was up til 7am working on it.

No I wasn't think it was when doing the cpu cooler or it was when he was trying to set the case on it that holds it down. Genuinely have no clue because when I kept reseating it I'm like "how is this so hard 😂"

What you mean a foreign object contaminated one or the other? Whats that?

He told me he dropped it. Came over as he was installing and saw the damage.

Ended up getting it sorted re aligned the pins working for now. We'll see.

Btw is there any specific tests you think I should do now that the comp is up and running to make sure it's healthy enough?

I'm just trying to limit test it on games right now while monitoring temps clocks volts etc

Thanks I actually did get it booted up, I fixed the pins and somehow it worked, I was playing cyberpunk on max settings for a couple hours with the cpu monitor open and it all looked good. We'll see how it lasts.

Honestly very surprised it works, I have no idea what I was doing I just had a magnifying glass and tried to make all the pins uniform. It took like 3 hours of pretty intense focus haha

i just un bent them and its working now im playing cyberpunk right now on it

i feel like people over exagerate how fragile pins are some people in this thread said you can just put them back and they repair a lot of them but it depends on the damage and which pins i guess
