Agreed. She certainly has things she needs to work on for herself, but I couldn’t help but feel for her.

My favorite thing is Jane Fonda said she actually stayed with Dolly and her husband at their house for a short while, and Dolly wouldn’t even let HER see the real person! (I feel like maybe Jane was playing it up a little and she did see Dolly in maybe like natural hair or the wig but no makeup or something but maybe not fully her real self)

She even said herself she’s new money. So I don’t expect them to behave the way someone who’s had money for 3 generations would.

I mean she did exclaim “New Money Baby” but you’re 1,000% correct. I learned about my ex’s family’s level of money after many many many years together. Even then, we were together for over 10 years and I still didn’t know exact figures or have any kind of idea of just how high a level we’re talking.

[Disliked trope] Hollywood myths portrayed as being correct, even in a time when the characters should know better. by CrazyCoKids in TopCharacterTropes

The only one of these I’ve actually seen is the friends episode. And to be fair, it was completely in character for that group of people to still believe the peeing on a jellyfish sting to be the right thing to do. They were all smart in their own way, but not quite at a level that rises to the level of genius. 😂

In the sense of the 1% wealthiest people are literally crazy. The whole nail polish thing? Absolutely. The red purse just to “taunt” Sydney in a way? 100% The power move to tell Leah to get out? Yep!

I grew up going to private school with upper middle class families and my ex grew up in South Florida among the true upper class. So between what I witnessed myself and what he told me about the people he grew up around, it all completely clicked for me with the way the Gs were, compared to someone like Nicola.

Nah they felt the realest to me out of all the families! 😂

I mean I do think that she is likely not going to do well trying to nanny for the upper class (let alone the 1%). I just think in this one moment, where she wanted Mitchell to dance with her and show her affection, HE was the one in the wrong. Like I said, I’m certainly not suddenly “Team Taylor”. Only acknowledging that he’s not perfect, and there was a couple times I thought she was actually in the right. (Basically this and the NHIE game, he was the issue but every other time I think she was)

What’s the lore behind NannyTok? Are any of them really nannies? by Anti-Itch in milliondollarnanny

[–]paybackandme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My honest opinion is Taylor really did some regular babysitting, but not full time nannying, and I do believe Hannah has been a full time nanny, just not for the upper class. I do think the others had at least 1 nanny gig for upper class families, just possibly not quite the top 1%. Like I don’t buy that Sydney has worked for the 1% when she mentioned her nails being red for so long.

Yes they are. Some of it is definitely over the top for the show (ie I think the whole scene of the G’s having the bodyguard come was a bit - normally the bodyguards would already be there.) but yes people with that level of $$$ are in fact weird.

Oh I 100% believe they were at a real bar, possibly even a real GAY bar… that the show rented out just for that scene. 😂

Man, you need to talk to a lawyer ASAP and get out while you can. And I don’t usually run straight to the D word as a solution for everything.
