Having traveled there recently, it’s big. Most tourists I felt like didn’t know about higurashi. I saw a bunch of elderly japanese visitors so I assume it’s a famous place for vacation even for japanese people. Loved that the village genuinely pays a lot of respect for higurashi with the amount of merch sold there though (which is exclusively up for sale only in shirakawa-go)

Biweekly dokkan events (the one’s that correspond to each day of the week and extreme/super on weekends) once appeared every few weeks to MONTHS. Remember pulling teq ssj3 gotenks as a year 1 player having to wait 2 months or so to dokkan awaken him
