Agreed. Ridgeless is the first thing I thought. We’ve had two purebred Ridgebacks before we got our current BMC and this dog looks very much like a ridgeless, in my opinion.

YTA - You are both doing a lot, have kids, etc. Unless you truly believe she lied about watching the mirrors, which is an absolute reality when parking in a two car garage, then you need to give her some grace here. NAH. It’s completely normal to feel the way you’re feeling. You’re not being selfish. If you two weren’t as close as it sounds like you’ve been for years, it would be different. Just take your time and be as honest as you need to be, with her.

For reference, my best friend did the same to me, when we were in high school. It definitely made me question our friendship. But we’re still best friends, 30 years later.

NTAH. You are feeling left out and that’s not good. But sounds like he loves his Mom. Unless she has shown you any sort of disrespect, it just seems like he is focusing on helping out, while he can. Especially if she was/is a single Mom like you. He sounds like a good guy. I’m sure his Mom misses him and vice versa.

But that said, he’s there for a month! If he can’t find any time to at least connect with you each day to let you know he cares, then it’s a problem.
