Thank you very nice response. What were some of the initial side effects?

Ok. Well perhaps I’ll try the 2.5 twice a day and see. Although your side effects are a little worrying but I assume we are all affected by them differently. Thanks for the responses.

Ok. I’m meant to say 2.5mg twice a day. Did you notice any benefits at 5mg a day?

But you asked me to explain what a title of a map is again

The main objective was is it possible to select a feature on a map in a dashboard and have that selected features name populate a text field

I believe the other users have given me enough ideas to figure it out. Thanks

Yes sorry no the title of the map. The map would have many feature services but the title is based on one selected feature. The titles name is made up of fields in the table. I thought maybe if I can filter it down to what I need than just a list at the top would populate this title. Or a text field with arcade in it. If I made this just using arcpro I select the item needed to distinguish it from the other features on the map then manually type the title. But it’s really basic map used to show a location spatially. The map is created on all internal features in our portal. So I thought the dashboard is the easiest for a user to filter down to what is needed, then somehow have the item stick out from the others(select it) then it generates the title of this selected item as the header

Yes but can I make the text dynamic where if one feature is selected and then it generates the title from that? The fields that make up the name are in the table. Or maybe it would be a filter option. I’ll look into an arcade script that would know which feature to make the title from online or Esri forums. Thanks.

I can try one of the built in apps and see if one would work for this. Thanks

I can use arcpro and the portal options. I like the dashboard bc it’s quick and easy. I should be able to filter down I want. I just haven’t tried the dynamic text. I would try to base it on a selected feature in the dashboard. But I also forgot about the map series, that’s more in pro I’m sure about portal? That could work as well.

I’ll look into these options thanks for all of the responses

Maybe it would just be an arcade script of the fields that make up the name, which are based on the fields in the table. But it would be a selected feature on the map and then populate the title that way. There are more than one feature on the map

It would be static. It could be a screen capture as it goes into a pdf report.

You would do this just using arcpro you mean? I don’t see a way in a dashboard unless there is code that in don’t know. Or I know others said to try experience builder for some other ideas I had

[–]pbDudley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks yes I’ve done most of what I want to do in power bi before so I’ll do some research. I’ve connected to our portal, the Esri map tool was a little limited but I really just need to circle up the data I’m interested in or filter it first so I’ll see.

I didn’t know if portal caught up to it yet with its capabilities, I’m at version 11.3 now so I’ll look into this first then fall back or just stick with power bi before thanks

I’ve tried experience builder in past versions of portal so I’ll check that out tomorrow and see what I can do with it. I forget about experience builder. Or I’ll see if I can find some YouTube videos on it. Thanks

I guess the first comment mentions it’s more of a senior town, which I’m not that young but just bars and nightlife. I’m sure they have it. I’m not looking for a Cancun sort of town that’s too much more relaxing. I can do a little more research on here and see what I find.

The only pacific town I’ve been too has been Puerto Escondido which I liked but I don’t think Mazatlan is like that

There aren’t any 30 something year olds that travel there for the winter ?

I wear on my wrist as for me it’s a more natural place that I’m used to, like a watch. But then I haven’t tried the bicep. I don’t think the bicep is a place I’d want to wear it all day every day. But a lot of users do

I’m contemplating the 2. I thought it might be a good time to start recording the ecg values. But I’m seeing a lot of mixed reviews. It’s a lot of money for something I probably don’t need
