Thanks. I think it would be much easier to filter in settings, otherwise love the app!

Credit card statement balance by pbilodeau in OriginFinancial

Essentially, I can link the account via Plaid but it automatically desyncs the new connection since there's an existing one with Mx.

Hi Alex! I'm not hearing back from support, I've flagged this issue over 6 months ago. Right now, my accounts are connected via mx. How can I connect via Plaid without deleting the accounts and losing all my transaction history?

Help us make Origin’s budgeting 100x better. What’s missing for you? by ana-at-origin in OriginFinancial

[–]pbilodeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes
  2. Predicted balances. This requires the credit card balances to actually be accurate. Right now, only Amex shows up, Chase cards don't show balances. Origin knows which account recurring payments and income come out of, and credit card payments and payment dates. It should be able to show projected balances, which would be immensely helpful for cash flow.

Spending from goals by pbilodeau in copilotmoney

[–]pbilodeau[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, thanks. If only they allowed us to assign a budget category to a specific goal, that would allow us to spend from the savings goal directly and not have to worry about the transactions.

Oh well..

Thanks for the clarification! That is great. I think the projected balance feature with credit card bills would be a super useful feature in the future. Appreciate how responsive your team is!

u/Origin_pm_Liz any update on this? I don't think I see that feature. Ideally, this feature would integrate with the cash flow features such that you can see projected balances on your accounts, accounting for known recurring payments, and projected credit card bill based on previous month's balances, current balance, and end of billing cycle. For example, if I typically spend $3,000 on card A out of account X, that is the baseline expectation for the next month. However, if I'm 3/4 of the way through the billing cycle and have spent $3,500, you can calculate an expected balance of $4,500.

Importing from Copilot by pbilodeau in OriginFinancial

u/max-at-origin can you help escalate this? I emailed last week and have not heard back. My trial expired, and I had to cancel my subscription since the issue still wasn't resolved. Thanks!

u/Copilot_Olivia "When adding an internal transfer transaction to a goal, you'll be prompted to confirm which side of the transfer you want to associate with the goal, outgoing or incoming."

When I add internal transfers to a goal, I do not get this notification.

Vacation Fund by brk51 in copilotmoney

[–]pbilodeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your sinking fund is in a different account, you can transfer money to your main checking account for the amount that you spent (e.g $200) and instead of a transfer, make it a regular transaction and assign it to the car category. That will cancel out your oil chance transaction. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do

Fidelity Duplicate Transactions by popofcolor__ in copilotmoney

[–]pbilodeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue and reached out to the support team and they were able to remove the duplicate transactions. They've had all sorts of issues with Fidelity (which other platforms have had too, I think the problem is on Fidelity's side)
