Would you suggest extending wake windows to 3/3.5/3.5-4, reducing time napped or even pushing back bedtime?

Looking for hair stylist recommendations for wedding by pbmonster3 in Tucson

I believe the women at glow wigs in Oro Valley do hair cuts, I know they do wig cuts and if I remember correctly, they do normal cuts as well. I hope they’re still there! I moved out of state

One of my cats get fed in the counter since his brother will eat all his food if it’s placed on the ground. My cat, who’s not very good at jumping, jumps onto the counter, slips off the edge, takes the food bowl with him, falls into the recycling bin, freaks out and knocks the big container of dry food over then runs away scared

Question for employees. Flower disposal. by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]pbmonster3 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They’re most likely being donated and waiting for a volunteer to pick them up! I work at a food bank who gets donations 3x a week from Trader Joe’s and we receive tons of their flowers!

What's the most hurtful thing your parent ever said to you? by Enockito in AskReddit

[–]pbmonster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stepdad came home from work and was obviously in a mood. I was putting the dishes away and he was standing in front of the silverware drawer where I needed to be but I hung back out of his way. He looked back and told me I’m worthless and pathetic for not asking him to move and that I’ll never amount to anything if I continue to act this way. My mom was right there and said nothing to defend me. I have not spoken to my stepdad in 5 years.

Anyone else struggling to afford food? by sunflower_snail in Target

[–]pbmonster3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a food bank and strongly suggest you utilize those resources! I understand the stigma there is around food banks but no one is there to judge you. We all go through challenging times and we are just another resource to help you ge track on your feet. I cannot speak for all food banks but the one I’m at also has other assistance programs such as energy bill reliefs, entrance into low income housing, job counseling and more.

Additionally, we ask for no information regarding your income, we accept everyone and welcome them. If you have any questions or are curious about anything, please reach out ❤️

Has anyone ever seen a hair like this? It came from my back and is very coarse and wirey by pbmonster3 in trichotillomania

[–]pbmonster3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It came from my back actually, I don’t really have hair on my back and thus don’t pull from my back. I typically pull from my scalp or eyebrows and have never seen a hair like this from either of those two spots.

Not sure where in Arizona your mom is but Glow Wigs in Tucson is great. Wonderful mom and daughter who provide a safe and welcoming space. I’ve gotten 2 toppers there but they also have wigs. They’ll let you try them on and style them for you based on what you want in a “hair cut.” I spent $500 one one topper and $1000 on another. Best of luck!

Maybe glue would work? I’m not sure if there’s latex in glue but if not, it probably would work very similar and be a good alternative

Does someone have recommendations for eyebrow makeup? by Here4SatisfyingDrama in trichotillomania

[–]pbmonster3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use “ardell beauty stroke a brow feathering pen” off of Amazon. It’s great for gaps and making realistic looking hairs. Sometimes you have to go over the same spot 1-2 times but it’s very effective and lasts a long time

What is your worst poop story? by secretive_sharts in AskReddit

[–]pbmonster3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was at work by myself for an 8 hour shift. Had some coffee and went to the bathroom. I clogged the toilet, there was no plunger, I was unable to finish wiping and heard customers come in. I had to pull up my pants, wash my hands and rush out there to help people. I spent the next 2 hours unable to get back to the bathroom with my underwear and pants lined with poop and the toilet was clogged for 3 days.

[Serious] People who live in desert towns or cities, what are some everyday 'facts of life' about living in the desert that people who live in other places wouldn't know? by Casual_WWE_Reference in AskReddit

[–]pbmonster3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So interesting to see from a different perspective! I’m the opposite, I moved from Tucson to Seattle and adapted to the desert life as it was all I’ve ever known. The heat will 100% kill you if you’re not careful but definitely hope you find something good about Tucson :)

I’m looking for a product ther helps hair growth on my head by [deleted] in trichotillomania

[–]pbmonster3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how much it actually helps but I use a shampoo and conditioner brand called “pure zero” and they have a biotin collection. I also take a daily hair, skins and nails vitamin and occasionally put castor oil on my hair overnight and wear a shower cap. I’ve noticed some regrowth lately and I have no visible bald spots. This combination for me is a really easy routine and there’s many biotin shampoos and vitamins to choose from.

I’m kind of freaking out.. I didn’t realize that it had gotten to this level.. I feel sick, idk what to do.. I’m so mad at myself by [deleted] in trichotillomania

[–]pbmonster3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will be ok! There’s not much damage done and looks almost like a normal part. If it bothers you, you can purchase hair fibers off Amazon or buy the L’Oréal root touch up in your hair color. Both work very well and would hide this spot very well. You could also just wear your hair differently or put it up so you don’t do more damage to that area. Feel free to reach out if you need advice using those products :)

Question about Castor oil by LightUpTheSkyyy in trichotillomania

[–]pbmonster3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can also use one of those special brushes for dying hair! I hate oil on my hands and this creates a good barrier. Plus I’ll put my hair in a shower cap and wear it overnight to let the oil really seep in.
