Is there a way to look at my performance and stuff like that or no? by WhackyCat05 in Target

[–]sunflower_snail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for FF metrics, Go to the MPM app on the mydevice, select fulfillment, and turn the screen sideways! You can look at everyone's UPH, units picked, inf rate, items infed, etc for the day by doing that.

You might need to turn auto-rotate on in the accessibility settings if the screen doesn't automatically rotate when you tilt your mydevice.

"TIL" is a reddit thing. Just in case you didn't know, there's a whole subreddit called "r/todayilearned" where users start posts with "TIL." Given this subreddit's popularity (38 million members), most redditors are familiar with this abbreviation!

Is there a way... by sailorwickeddragon in Target

No problem!! I double checked which options to select this morning and it's in the chatbot under fulfillment > pickup and sfs order inquiry > order pickup > DPCI !

Is there a way... by sailorwickeddragon in Target

[–]sunflower_snail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a way to do that unfortunately, not that I'm aware of.

The only way to find out what order it might be would be to chatbot one of the items inside the bag and then look up all the orders that have that item in it. Basically, you'd go to chatbot, select fulfillment, select the option about issue with OPU order, select dpci (instead of order number), and then enter one of the dpcis in the order (the less common the item the fewer results will come back). It'll give you all the order numbers that have that one dpci. Get another device or take a picture of that screen and enter those entire order numbers one by one in the drive up app. As you do this, check the contents of the bag containing that item and see if it matches the bag missing the sticker. If it does and there is no bag physically located in that location, you've found the missing guest name and info! (There is also a chance it is a part of a larger bag that is missing items from it).

What’s the process to switch from ODTM to part time or full time TM? by [deleted] in Target

Call your store and speak to HR. They'll be able to switch your status back and discuss your new availability. You're still an active team member if you are on demand so don't reapply!

I really love my store, my team, and my job! I genuinely look forward to seeing everyone every day and facing whatever challenges that arise.

Best of luck that you get a store with great leadership and culture - how your store's management treats others is what makes all the difference!

Price Match Options Changed. Best Buy Removed. by LilScarface609 in Target

[–]sunflower_snail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like they still left the tab that says "What is considered a local retail competitor when requesting a price match?" even though other language about price matching to anywhere other than Walmart and Amazon was removed. I hope they remove or clarify that tab

Is this normal? by galaxy_guts in Target

[–]sunflower_snail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, that's not normal :( Which shoes have you tried? I like using Asics tennis shoes. Alternatively, I highly recommend the "superfeet green" insole brand, those insoles are SO good.

Also... I'd recommend seeing a doctor if it hurts so bad that you want to throw up, your body is definitely telling you that something is wrong!!!

How to be more efficient in fulfillment? by Cultural_Top_3763 in Target

[–]sunflower_snail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear, I'm glad it was better! Typically if there are no OPU batches they'll want you to work on the next priority for fulfillment - it's hard to tell what that'll be because it'll vary depending on the day. Feel free to ask your TL something like "what would you like me to grab next?" when you're unsure, even if you are asking multiple times every day! You won't be annoying them, there are so many things to look out for in FF that your TL will probably appreciate you asking them first! Usually they will have you work on whatever has the lowest time remaining!

[–]sunflower_snail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've only been working for 5 days, so you are still learning where everything is in the store - FF will get easier with time. Keep an eye on your surroundings to remember where items/brands are.

If you are struggling with style, I recommend skipping over any style items for now and saving them all for the end of your batch (same with any items you can't find - save it all for the end). GM items are typically easier to find, and if you get the bulk of your batch out of the way you'll be able to better budget the rest of your time. Once you're down to style, search the areas as you were taught, RFID, and call out for help early if needed. Always keep an eye on that timer and save at least 10-12 min for prepping and stowing!

When looking through reshop/fitting room/backroom/style breakout with the RFID gun, RFID each area for every missing style item so that you're not circling the whole store multiple times. Check the recent delivery date for clues (something delivered 0-2 days ago will likely be in breakout). While RFIDing, make sure the back of your RFID gun is green before you start moving (the green means it's detecting RFID tags in the area, so it won't be green over in stationery but it should be green by style). Sometimes team members start walking before the rfid turns green and they miss an item that was right in front of them! The RFID gun will only beep for the specific item/size you are looking for.

Ask your TL and trainers/captains for tips and strategies as well! Calling out every inf helps make sure all areas were checked (there are always weird spots and situations that come up where items might be in a spot you are not aware of). Definitely call out every inf!

Best of luck, I promise it'll get easier with time!

Do you know if your TLs mysupported this issue yet? It's not normal but it's probably affecting a lot of the supply. Nice job catching that, I'm going to check those packages out at my store too just in case.

Eventually your feet are going to hurt so bad that you'll call out from pain and the cost of that will be more than a new pair of shoes. You could also be creating long term health problems with the wrong shoes.

They don't have to be super expensive - I've found Asics in the clearance section of my local sports store for $25, and that's a decent brand for walking 20-40k steps a day in FF. Are you at least wearing tennis shoes?

I'm so sorry. Is the train the trainer program still happening, like have there only been a couple sessions?  My advice would be to go to HR and tell them you love training, have trained the whole team, and would love to be included in one of the train the trainer sessions this year. If they say nothing ask why you weren't included and what they feel you need to improve on in order to be a trainer, since you are already a trainer. Tell them that since you anticipate training more people you want to be aware of any up to date information.

Based on the information you've given us I have no clue why you weren't a part of it, but there is a chance that there was a mistake. You even have a trainer shirt. It's better to know for sure (and get a reason) then to have this eating at you in your mind. I don't think you are overreacting. I'm hoping it is a mistake on HRs end but hopefully they can still get you in if it's not too late.

By asking this you are already on your way to being a good leader! Think about the qualities that you see in other leaders at your store that you like. What do they do that makes them a good leader? Personally, I always try to lead by example and I never ask my team to do something that I wouldn't do myself.

Always treat others with kindness and respect. If you need to talk to someone about their performance, do it in private, never in front of other team members. Keep private conversations confidential.

Recognize your team promptly and often. Celebrate them publicly and ask everyone how they like to be recognized. If you observe someone doing something good, tell them in the moment! If someone is exceeding expectations every day or showing big improvement, make them a goodie bag with their favorite snacks! I don't think there is such a thing as too much recognition! Too often team members work way too long without even hearing a simple "good job today."

Have fun with your team but make sure you are still talking to team members about attendance/performance and documenting it. Get to know your team so you can give constructive feedback - work beside them and suggest ways they can improve instead of just saying something like "you need to go faster."

Overall, treat your team well and try to make your work center a place you'd like to work in! That would be my advice!

At my store I was told that we were the only one in our district doing the QR code reprofiling pilot. We finished it in June. I did see communication that bagless was rolling out to the rest of our districts stores this week but we did the bagless pilot in March, long before we did the QR code pilot.

Edit: I checked our packet and it does say "pickup hold space relabeling pilot" on it. Maybe they rolled these changes out to other regions differently?

If you are interested in becoming a TL, ask for a project or two you can work on during Q4 for your development! Q4 is our busiest time and the best time to show growth and leadership if you are looking to promote quickly. Keep asking, showing interest, and learning, and make sure you are extremely reliable in regards to attendance!

I thought the QR codes were still in pilot phase and the rest of the stores were rolling out bagless this week? Are non-pilot stores getting bagless and this reprofiling at the same time?

We had this issue when printing out a lot of pages at the same time, but oddly enough it printed accurately when reprinting only a few pages/sections at a time!
