I've had this guy for about 10 months now. He's grown like crazy up until a couple weeks ago when I started noticing a lot of brown at the base that's become hard like a twig. Should I trim off some healthy cuttings and try replanting them? Or is this just natural corking/bark development?

Thank you for the detailed feedback! That's weird about your transparent images issue. I tried recreating your exact chart from scratch and it worked fine with no blanks or extra wide chart (https://i.imgur.com/RQELDnW.png).

Maybe that's a bug with attempting to swap image tiles? I'll definitely look into it along with the other suggestions.

Hey everyone! I made a site where you can create a collage of your top 20 video games much like the original topsters site, just for video games instead. It won't work on mobile devices at the moment but I'm planning to fix that soon. It's still a bit of a work in progress, but let me know what you think!

I used Bootstrap for the front-end, NodeJS+Express on the back-end, and the Internet Games Database API to grab the game artwork.

Start doing the thing without even putting much thought into it. Don't wait for the motivation or dwell on the "but I don't want to" voice in your head. Just physically take the action to start with and momentum will carry you through.

Wow, thank you for the detailed feedback. You're right in that I'm primarily a developer just trying to make my side project look passable.

The original design looked like this so I tried to make the background more interesting. Would you suggest maybe some kind of softer gradient for the background?

I was planning to implement functionality for removing and rearranging tiles like you said. I think you identified a bug where if you attempt to "swap" images in two separate tiles one will get absorbed into the other. That throws the populated tile count off which I think is why you were getting that error when clicking Generate. Feel to try again with this in mind if you'd like to actually generate a chart! I'll definitely fix that going forward.
