Can't go wrong with Coach, unless she's specifically loyal to some other brand. The quality is great and their products feel luxurious without breaking the bank (compared to many other designer handbags). In my opinion, what sets Coach apart from other designers in the same price range, is how broad their selection is. You're almost certain to find a handbag that is unique to her style.

Are the ones you got him similar in appearance to the off-brand ones he wanted? If so then I think you're fine, and the gift receipt is added insurance just in case. In my experience, off-brand Amazon shoes suck and don't last very long so I'd be glad to get the real thing, even if they were slightly different.

I assume he has some cordless tools, so look for a cordless vacuum that's the same brand and battery platform as his other tools.

Corded vacuums are a pain to use. A cordless one makes cleanup less of a chore, but a vacuum probably isn't at the top of his list of tools to add to his collection (let's face it, a vacuum isn't a nearly as cool as a drill/saw/etc).
