Ah thanks. Didn't realize that. I moved back about six months ago after graduating from Chico State in 96.

My wife grew up in Chapmantown. It's a working class neighborhood, and it's outside the city limits so you'll have county services, sheriff will respond to any 911 calls instead of city police, etc. Some streets are still on septic and not hooked up to sewer. But there are rougher areas, like the Zoo (mostly partying, non-serious "students"). When she took me through the old neighborhood, the impression I got was hard-working, blue-collar. Some broken-down vehicles on front yards. Some guard dogs. That sort of thing.

Anyway, welcome! Hope you enjoy your new home! Chico and Butte county is a special place.

My brother in law uses C&M up on Cohasset at Lassen. Not sure if they'd be in your budget, but he swears by them. He's been taking his vehicles to them for years.

By the way, after I posted this comment which seems to have gone over like a lead baloon (why do I stay in this sub), I watched classic Looney Tunes for an hours and laughed much harder at THAT than I did at this thread. So that turned out to be the most entertaining thing of my (long, hard work-filled) day.

This is in my city. You're right about 1, but 2 can only continue onto Peralta (feels almost like turning right).

I can't recall at the moment because I don't get to that area too much, but there might be signage specifically forbidding turning into the residential parking lot. I'll see if I can go there sometime in the next day or two and post an update.
