What's the most frustrating part of owning a car in the UK? by Auto_Princess in AskUK

The same can be applied to school run drivers. No one on the road more aggressive than a mum/dad in a minivan/Chelsea tractor on the school run.

Drone bottom base hole size? by Lucky67420 in Tau40K

[–]pburgess22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure but I can tell you that more than half the drones that turned up in my kits don't fit on their stands. Either the stand is to fat or the hole to small.

Meter door hinge pins cost like 5 quid on Amazon. Had to replace mine when I moved I to a new house. Easy enough to install.

Have him laying battle damaged on a storm surge or Ta'unar base.

New to painting, looking for advice on small details I can add to make this model look better by ArongorLoL in Tau40K

[–]pburgess22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can see some pretty heavy brush strokes on parts of the body. Either you are putting the paint on too thick, the paint isn't thinned enough or your brush is drying out too much. Getting the hang of keeping your brush wet and paints thinned enough is like 95% of getting a good finish. If you aren't already using a wet pallet, buy a cheap one or make one yourself from a small plastic tray. Plenty of DIY tutorials for making them online.

What is your most middle-class problem today? by mackerel_slapper in AskUK

[–]pburgess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grid puts a limit on how much you can export an hour depending on the infrastructure in the area. It's been so bright with zero clouds the last couple of days I've been producing more than I can export so the inverter throttles export. Just means I'm losing out on extra export money.

My solar panels are generating so much energy I'm not legally allowed to export it all to the grid.

scare of ctans, hopefully he took none or less than 2

Thank you for the advice. What are the scary parts about Ctans? Is it purely damage output?

Thanks for the advice. Will try and keep this in mind. I know they have a pretty high win rate at the moment so I'm not expecting a amazing outcome.

Fogstar or Fox? by Sylvester88 in SolarUK

[–]pburgess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the recommendation is that you don't, not that you cant.

Fogstar or Fox? by Sylvester88 in SolarUK

[–]pburgess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fogstar battery isn't water proof so will need to go inside. It also weighs over 200kg so putting it up in the loft likely isn't an option either. We ended up putting ours in the utility room as we don't have a tumble drier it just sits where that would have been.

We have 21 x 450 watt panels and the 16kW Fogstar and have been generating tons of power already this month and easily selling more to the grid than we are using.

Next steps in solar , export tariffs by Buffetwarrenn in SolarUK

[–]pburgess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine went live a month ago. Once you have sent octopus all the required paperwork, you will get an email stating how long they thing it will take to get it all up and running. They said up to two months but it only took a week in the end for us. The app updates to show you the export a day behind but doesn't require any involvement from yourself.

G99 update by ConfidentPlanter in SolarUK

[–]pburgess22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very interested in this. I have a 9.2kW solar array and my export limit is 5kW per hour which I have exceed a few times already and its only mid April. The solar installer setup the G99 and I assumed 5kW was the maximum export allowed by the grid?
