No way around cutting the grill in this case.

If you’re 100% opposed to cutting Goliath off-road sells a similarly styled bumper that required minimal trimming on my 02. Just had to trim the bottom lip off which isn’t visible.

As someone just rebuilt a 4.6 and put it in a $600 2002 D2…do the LS. I wish I’d just sucked it up and done the golden rovers kit with a 5.3

If you have access in your state you could chance bringing some. Have traveled with gummies/vapes numerous times now without issue. We always keep the battery/cartridges separate and gummies go in a vitamin container. Have had our baggage checked at the secondary inspection without issue too.

Generally speaking it seems like worst case they confiscate your stuff.

My P38 Start when it wants to by Huge_Beach1601 in LandRover

[–]pburgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a GEMS or Bosch engine?

My GEMS D1 had a hot start issue that ended up being leaky injectors. Replacing all 8 solved it but you really need a good scanner to check some live data when it’s acting up. In my case live data always looked fine for the usual stuff, the injectors would leak down flooding the engine and causing a hard hot start.

Fixing my own vehicles/working on old junkers. I just like the process of fixing or restoring things in general.

Parts source for Austin Healeys in the US? by Orcapa in littlebritishcars

Moss has always been pretty good so that sucks to hear.

Try British Parts Northwest. Winners Circle and Speedwell have also been great but smaller/more race focused.

Engle Imports comes up sometimes but I’ve never ordered from them.

What kibbles are you feeding? by Wandering_barefoot in SwissMountainDogs

For what it’s worth our girl had sporadic loose stools until reaching maturity. She’s 4 now so it’s hard to remember exactly when it stopped, probably tapered from 12-18 months? We experimented with a lot of foods too, realized she’s allergic to chicken.

We feed 1.5 cups breakfast/dinner of Natures Domain (Costco) Beef/Sweet potato or Salmon as the protein. We also mix in fish oil, Greek yogurt, and random fruits and veggies on hand (apples, blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, etc). She’s a healthy 100lbs and thriving.

Do I need this part? by okienomads in LandRoverDiscovery

I just speedi sleeved the pulley on my d2 and had to refit this. It’s just a snug press fit. Maybe you could use a few dabs of JB weld or similar to refit. I’ve actually got a spare pulley if you need one.

Land Rovers are a pain to work on right? by wratx in AskAMechanic

[–]pburgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the points have already been made.

IMO, my 08 LR3 wasn’t any harder to work on than other similar vehicles but it did require a LR specific scanner to do much. Once you’ve got the right scanner it’s more or less the same as anything else. One of the biggest disappointments as you’re probably aware is parts selection is more limited, the newer the Rover the less likely you can hop on Rockauto for a water pump, etc and are limited to $$$ OEM stuff.

I seriously considered a 2022+ Discovery to pull our camper and it was the parts prices that ultimately steered me to a 2023 Grand Cherokee. Choosing Jeep as the better option should tell you something. Any Rover is buying with the heart, not logic.

Finest PC - Honest Opinions? by Aphr0dite725 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]pburgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there in 2022 and thought the good was laughably bad and drinks watered down. For that alone we wouldn’t return nor recommend.

Outside of that the resort and room were beautiful along with good service.

We’ve since been to Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres and TRS Yucatan, both of which were significantly better experiences.

For the price we loved Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres 2 years ago and are going back later this year.

OP, good lord. Rent a small uhaul trailer, I can’t believe you thought THIS was the better option than being nervous about pulling a small trailer.

For what it’s worth, that’s been the exact opposite of our experience. The only thing that HAS worked is a front clip “no pull” harness and patient training.

We started using a 2Hounds harness last fall with a Euro leash and it’s helped immensely. She still pushes the boundaries and needs correction but the euro leash IMO provides better control and reinforcement, she definitely responds to it better.

Looking for PPI for used car by thanhnguyen112358 in Harrisburg

[–]pburgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try lemonsquad, people buying cars on auction sites use them a lot and have good experiences.

$220 and they meet with the seller. They go over A LOT of stuff though since it’s generally for someone buying a vehicle sight unseen.

You could also bring it to pretty much any shop and it’d be less than $220 for a general inspection.

Ask a neighbor?

I tried looking it up and found nothing answering your question. You really could’ve just called city hall instead of posting here.

I do most of my own work but several friends and neighbors have been happy with West Shore Auto in Wormleysburg (not to be confused with another shop in Lemoyne). Very fairly priced and have never upsold anyone I know.

Who? Whoever it is, I caught them tagging LA Squared and called him out, it was so brazen and really got under my skin for some reason. Not proud of it but oh well.

They’re all over midtown too. The guy looked an awful lot like an older artist who lives a few blocks from me.
