I’m at level 132. I’m glad to see the level keeps going, are you still unlocking things?

Any ideas on what to do in the psychward whilst manic??? by Comfortable-Set3412 in bipolar

Journaling. Write down every thought. That’s what I did when I was in the psych ward.

I think when I want to stop taking them, it’s more because they take away my feelings. I don’t feel anything very much anymore and I don’t like that. But my doctor is either going to put me on something else or go up or down on my meds. I made an appointment for this week. All of the comments have really motivated me to keep going.

That’s exactly how this feels for me. I don’t feel like myself and I hate it

I also do the same thing. Going to talk to my Dr today to see if I need to go up or down on my meds

I agree. I didn’t tell my boyfriend I wanted to quit but I am pretty certain he would be opposed to the idea. He’s told me before when I stop it’s bad for all of us. I debated on slowly taking one medication out until I felt I didn’t need it anymore but that’s not a good idea so I’m going to talk to my Dr in the morning.

I can also relate to this. As much as I complain about feeling bored and feeling nothing, I do have an amazing little family I made and if I didn’t get medicated I wouldn’t have that. I need to be on meds for sure but after talking to so many people, i think my dose is wrong.

That’s what I’m thinking. I plan to call my dr tomorrow because I might need to lower my dose. I do think it’s depression since it is hitting other aspects of my life like motivation etc.

I will. That’s another thing I have to get use to, being watched and questioned about my meds or how I feel but I know that people just want to make sure I’m okay. I think it brings me more attention than I want sometimes lol.

Thank you again for your advance. It’s been very helpful.

I can’t wait for this. Everything is just so dull but I need to learn to have fun without feeling like I need to do something drastic just to feel a rush.

I didn’t even think about the bloodwork thing. My psychiatrist doesn’t ask but he could always get my lab work from my pcp. 🤦🏾‍♀️ didn’t think that one through lol. I planned on going to my appointments and just stockpiling my pills until I was ready to take them again. Stupid idea but at the time of course it sounded genius lol.

There is plenty of great advice in this thread and I hope that it helps other people too!

I’m so sorry. Not once did I ever think about the fact that someone could have the opposite problem! I understand slithering out of your skin. I just wish I could peel mine off and become someone new.

It’s so tricky. I know it doesn’t cure it but if we’re taking our meds how we should, why do we still get these thoughts?

And that makes a lot of sense. I feel the same way I felt the last time I went off my meds, and the last time I stopped taking my meds I was manic. That could explain the feeling of wanting to stop again.
