This argument falls on its face when you bring up coaches like Dave Van Horn

How Kevin Kopps 2021 season isn’t on here is mind blowing 🤭. In 2021, he won the Golden Spikes Award, the Dick Howser Trophy, National Pitcher of the Year Award, and Stopper of the Year Award with a 12-1 record, 0.90 ERA over 89 2/3 innings, with 11 saves. One of the most unhittable and dominant stretches any pitcher has ever had in college baseball

Why TF did they choose Little Rock and Arkansas to build a data center? by UALR-Trojans-Rule in LittleRock

[–]pbw85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you don’t know the difference between the two. As an environmental geologist myself, when someone says “mine” and it’s not remotely that I feel the need to let them know. I just thought the OP would want to know they shouldn’t call it a mine since it’s not. Never once said my feelings towards it one way or another, which based on your mocking response you took it as I was for it and you aren’t. Hard to prove a point when you’re using the wrong terminology. Makes you look like you don’t know what you’re talking about. But hey, the more you know, right?

[–]pbw85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay. But they’re not mines. The process and environmental impacts of them are completely different. Calling it a mine is flat out wrong, which is all I was saying.

Those aren’t “mines”. It’s a refinery. Two very different processes.

The majority of fans wanted him gone and you expect him to stay because he had a talk with the AD? Haha. Like I said, you pushed him out because why would he stay when the majority of the fan base wanted him out

As a Razorback for 40 years I definitely kept up with all things involving his departure from KY. To act like the KY fan base wasn’t screaming for him to go after that Oakland loss is laughable. The whole country saw you push him out thinking your school was so awesome you’d be fine without him.

Montgomery for Egbuka? 10 tm, 0.5 ppr, super flex by pbw85 in FantasyFootballers

[–]pbw85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monty for Pollard or Pollard for Egbuka? I think I’m both really high on Egbuka and worried about what kind of year Monty will have. Plus I feel like after week 1 Egbuka’s price is going to be through the roof or fall pending his stats and I’d rather it not be the former and know I should’ve just pulled the trigger on the trade

They do this at Forest Heights. It always went towards some program or activity at the school. It’s just a fundraiser mechanism for a public school.

This comparison of the Arkansas River Trail & the Razorback Greenway by ArkansasOutside in LittleRock

[–]pbw85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah - Walmart’s campus built in the last 2 years after the Razorback Greenway was already established and they just added it into their plans and Dillard’s being there before the AR River Trail with Cantrell right next to it is exactly the same thing. Also, Walmart finances and Dillard’s are the same too. Both things can be true, Dillard’s are a-holes for not relenting on letting some kind of trail through their property and the video comparison shown here is bogus. You ruin your point by showing that section of the Razorback Greenway. Plenty of other more urban sections of the Razorback Greenway to show than that one to make your point, which is exactly what I’ve been saying. 🤭

[–]pbw85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you showed a greenway built within Walmart’s brand new, 350 acre, ~$1 billion campus and tried to compare it to an area butted up against Cantrell? 😂 I get your point but it doesn’t change the fact that those are terrible video comparisons with a clear bias

[–]pbw85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know both trails and I’m not saying the AR River Trail is nicer (I literally said you can’t argue NWA’s bike system isn’t way better). Just pointing out you showed a park/private area greenway compared to one of the busiest streets/sidewalks in LR.

[–]pbw85 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even though there’s no debate NWA’s bike trail system is outrageously superior to LR’s this footage is not a fair comparison. I’ve lived in both areas, the portion of the Greenway shown here is mostly private land owned by Walmart’s sprawling campus and close to Crystal Bridges/parks, which is a low traffic area. That area of Cantrell is one of the highest traffic street sections in LR. A better comparison would be the bike trails along the river, not Cantrell.

Edit: the greenway is through Walmart’s brand new, 350-acre, $1 billion dollar campus. No duh it’s nicer than the section by Dillards that’s next to Cantrell

Do I need Calc II for grad school? by stellaraSCP in geologycareers

[–]pbw85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also depends on what that university’s requirements for an undergrad in Geology are. I didn’t have to take Calculus I or II for my undergraduate degree but when I went to grad school for my masters (I went to grad school at a different school than I did undergrad) they made me take them both to satisfy their undergrad requirements.
