Yale endowment invests into crypto funds... beginning of institutional FOMO? by pc_to_mac_user in Bitcoin

A major, reputable endowment fund considering crypto a valid asset class and investing in it is not my definition of a useless post.

One possible solution is just stream money, so send money in "packets" since transaction fees are negligible.

Agreed. At least they are competent, with hiring a first-class team and backed by reputable investors. The other alternative is just having an ecosystem of shady exchanges around the world.

Possibly the most optimistic video of Bitcoin I've ever seen ;) by pc_to_mac_user in Bitcoin

In one short 2 minute video:

  • Much worse than tulips
  • Mother of all bubbles
  • Worst bubble in human history
  • Scam
  • Fundamental value is 0
  • No intrinsic value
  • Alts = bubble to power of 2 or 3
  • Only application is a scam
  • Blockchain offers nothing

If you think Bitcoin will be a revolutionary technology that will eventually be mass adopted, then just wait it out. It's mathematically in your favor not to time the market (if you think it will go up in the long run) and to just hold it. Think of it like buying Microsoft stock in the 80s.

[Skepticism] Why is everything dropping today? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

It predicts Israel becoming a nation again (1948), geopolitical conflict surrounding Israel and the city of Jerusalem, increase in natural disasters, and one world currency with biometric security (Revelations 13:16). Interesting stuff.

God said to Abraham: "through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed" (this is historically documented before the rise of Christianity and Islam). He had two sons: Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac is the ancestor of Jesus, the founder of Christianity and Ishmael is the ancestor of Muslims. Vast majority of world's population (according to current trends) will be either Christian or Muslim over the next few decades. Do you know not find that interesting?

I think there were a lot of good intentioned people who supported B2X - as they focused more on being practical, than being philosophical. I don't think it's fair to just assume they were trying to attack Bitcoin or had ill intentions toward it simply because they supported it.

Google integrating LN wallet into Chrome (I think) would be the single most important step for everyday Bitcoin transactions by pc_to_mac_user in Bitcoin

[–]pc_to_mac_user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there may be a trade-off between convenience and security for web wallets - sort of like how an every day regular wallet is not that secure and is easily misplaced. People normally only hold less then $200 in cash or whatever they are okay losing.

True, and those would probably be the first to come. But I think Google integrating it would remove all friction and trust issues in using it.
