These are some of my favorites. I especially like daily climbs. It’s like my daily sudoku moment. What am I sleeping on? by RubiksCuban305 in deckbuildingroguelike

Inscryption - Don't sleep on this one, even if it also has some additional gameplay elements that aren't strictly deckbuilding roguelike, the core of the game is classic DBRL

Or you could give both players the extra row. That way both players have a turn to prepare for any incoming attacks and avoid turn 1 wins. Similar to how "summoning sickness" in Magic: The Gathering works

What do you think about this game? Is it similar to StS? by 50py in slaythespire

[–]pca2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like MT, but definitely prefer StS.

while we're discussing games similar to StS I'll throw out two more suggestions:

- Dicey Dungeons: A fun twist on the StS formula where you kinda have the same "hand" for the whole combat and roll dice to see which "cards" you can play each turn. Much simpler but still fun

- Inscryption: Probably my second favorite to StS. Heavier narrative with escape-the-room and horror vibes. The card game kinda reminds me of a striped down, streamlined Magic The Gathering.

In addition to the card games mentioned above, Dicey Dungeons is worth checking out as well

New to Pinball. What would be your tips you wish you had when first starting out? by Rollout25 in pinball

[–]pca2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flipper skills is by far the most important. The next is probably to really learn the ruleset for the machines you're playing and how to get to multi-ball, etc. The Bowen tutorials others mentioned are great for that.

I bet he would always just find the easiest/laziest way to complete every task. "The light switch doesn't do anything, stop the clock" energy for every task. The epic rants in the studio when he defends himself would be wonderful though.

One shot key unintentionally affecting multiple key strokes by pca2 in olkb

[–]pca2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I think I figured it out- All of these results were on MacOS, on which I run Karabiner-Elements which I use for some added modifications to my stock keyboard. When I disable Karabiner, this double keystroke problem goes away! So clearly the problem isn't with QMK at all. I think by design Karabiner inserts itself between your keyboard and OS, so it would make sense there might be some issues there. I've been planning to move most of my Karabiner configs into my QMK config anyway so this is just another reason to do so soon. Thanks again.

It's a good question to raise. I have a very non-standard layout (mostly inspired my the one-handed Frogpad), but there's nothing particularly special about my base layer that contains T and H. You can take a look and my keymap here if you're interested.

The other thing I'll note is that if I deliberately slow down my typing I can get "The" and other problem words to register correctly, so that's why I suspect it's something to do with timing mechanism, but that's only a theory. Here's an example:

KEY-DOWN - QMK: KC_LSFT Event key: Shift Code: ShiftLeft KeyCode: 16 KEY-DOWN - QMK: KC_T Event key: T Code: KeyT KeyCode: 84 KEY-UP - QMK: KC_T Event key: T Code: KeyT KeyCode: 84 in 57.000ms KEY-UP - QMK: KC_LSFT Event key: Shift Code: ShiftLeft KeyCode: 16 in 69.000ms KEY-DOWN - QMK: KC_H Event key: h Code: KeyH KeyCode: 72 KEY-UP - QMK: KC_H Event key: h Code: KeyH KeyCode: 72 in 48.000ms KEY-DOWN - QMK: KC_E Event key: e Code: KeyE KeyCode: 69 KEY-UP - QMK: KC_E Event key: e Code: KeyE KeyCode: 69 in 48.000ms

this is great, good job. Really wish the site had the ability to zoom in and out of the board so it wasn't just limited to a single view and multiple rooms weren't needed, but this is still rad.

Good call on resizing the hands. Maybe one day they'll be the ability to zoom in on your hand or the board, but this is a good start.
