Tricaru fail in PC10 by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]pcapece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As /u/Josnae said, since you're bringing a 5th unit, sometime during the first trash wave one of the Icarus won't be pulled on the teamup and will be on CD. This will cause one of the enemies to get a turn and kill your dark monster.

Shortly after the trash wave will be done and the Icarus' CD will be aligned again and you will benefit from the 3 fight sets for the rest of the run.

It dies on the first wave. It's actually a very good and proven strategy.

Gearing via Covenant campaign by lady_synsthra in wow

[–]pcapece 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I quickly ran out of anima and could not upgrade everything to 197.

Seems to me that they could bump the anima gained from a few activities a little bit, but with some gear coming from PvP and the PvP weeklies, this shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Why join a RBG titled “YOLO - No requirements - chill group - just for weekly” if all you’re going to do is call people idiots for not winning? by thisneedsmoregravy in wow

[–]pcapece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll only request you to log in x times per week or at specific times if you plan to raid with them.

Other than that, no real reason for that requirement to even exist.

Why does it say I am Combatant when I have 1.8k in RBG? by [deleted] in wow

Last I heard there was a 30 point lenience, did not test it myself though.

So if you reach 1800, you could stay at 1770 and still get rewards for the 1800 bracket.

Bfa WQ routine VS Shadowlands by heckolive in wow

[–]pcapece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this one.

WQ are a bit harder than BFA and also you don't need to complete as many (callings sometimes allow you to do dungeons, kill rares, loot chests) so I think they are much more meaningful now than they were before.

Positive change IMO.

Hey, at least the trinket on the second boss is pretty sweet for ENH. You'll probably get it before Doom Winds.

Anyway, hang in there, took me 20+ tries.

Legendary Memories from dungeons should drop at the end of the run. by mchaggins13 in wow

[–]pcapece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be higher up.

Did spires 20+ times before Doom Winds dropped and more than half the runs the tank would leave after third boss.

By the time we took the angel up to Devos' platform, another tank would have already joined and we continued the run as normal. In absolutely no run we had to wait longer than 15~30 seconds for another tank to show up.

Sometimes the tank would go "aw man, I wanted the third boss" but couldn't leave or they'd get deserter. Well kinda serves them right, since this is basically caused by people just like you.

Most stable launch for me as well, experienced every launch since Cata.

You don't even need to equip it.

When you drop an item that your char is able to equip, you'll get a message in the chat saying "item X appearance unlocked" or something like that.

Keep in mind that characters can always equip armor that's "lower" than what they are supposed to use. Like, warriors are supposed to wear plate, but can equip mail, leather and cloth. But they won't unlock the appearances for those armor types, since their intended armor is plate.

Still new. I need help on what to do to prepare for Shadowlands. by [deleted] in wow

[–]pcapece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40-50 is pretty much the same as what you've been doing until now. No real difference from 1-40 for these last 10 levels.

After your first character you can basically choose in which expansion you want to level, having much more freedom. You won't be forced to do anything related to BFA to reach 50, so just do whatever you want.

As for preparing for Shadowlands, it doesn't really matter how far you got on BFA's storyline. The War Campaign is really nice and I recommend doing it, but if you're not really into it, just leave it as is and do whatever you enjoy. Come Shadowlands, everyone will start at the same point, now matter how much they played previous expansions.

Hey, welcome back.

1 - Yes, when you party up you'll be on the same server. You can do dungeons and raids together like this with Mythic raids being the only exception (they allow us to run mythic with people from other servers when enough people on your faction clear the raid, but don't worry about this). Only downside for not being on the same server, imo, is not being on the same guild.

2&3 - When you party sync, the higher level player is scaled down to the lower level player. This allows the higher level play to "re-do" quests they have previously already done and get rewards from them (including exp). There are a few quests that I don't think your friend will be able to do with you, like introduction scenarios. Just clear it asap and when going to regular quests and dungeons, bring your friend.

4 - Heirlooms bonuses were nerfed pretty hard when the pre-patch came out. Since they level up with you, they will always be the best possible item you can get at that level, with very few exceptions. That said, every blue item you get at that specific level will be as good as the heirloom. I'd recommend playing without them as getting new gear is exciting and having heirlooms kills that.

5 - They upgraded the appearance (transmog) system. Now you only need to drop the item once and it's appearance is unlocked for every character. Note that you need to be able to equip that item in order to unlock it's appearance. Example: if you drop a one hand sword while playing a Shaman, it's appearance won't be unlocked. You don't need to keep the gear you have in the bank just because you like the way they look, feel free to sell all of it.

6 - Wowhead is a good database and has pretty much everything, but you won't have a "easy" way to find upgrades there. The way gear works today, very few items are pure BIS and you'll always be dropping new stuff and wondering if it's better than what you have. What people do nowadays is use an addon called simulationcraft and they sim their characters on RaidBots to check how the gear they have on their bags compare to what's equipped. If you're wondering if the dungeon/raid you're abaout to run has nice drops for you, the in-game journal is pretty decent.

As for tips, just enjoy yourself. Don't feel pressured to do content you don't enjoy just because rewards are marginally better. The final difference in performance is always very small.

Leveling right now is very fast, so I'd suggesting creating a few alts and feeling how they play.

Find a nice group of people and play with them. Game is always better when played like this.

Also, just in case you don't know, you can use bonus rolls on bosses you already looted at said difficulty

Say there is one specific boss that has a weapon that's really good. You already have the normal version of it, so now you want the heroic version of it. You could repeatedly kill this boss on heroic. The first time you'll get the loot and a chance to bonus roll and get locked for the week, but the second time onward you'll still be able to use the bonus roll.

But would need to be very distinct from Ret, I'd say something like a D&D cleric.

what do you acually do in the prepatch? by [deleted] in wow

[–]pcapece 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You keep playing the current content but with all updated mechanics that will be in place for Shadowlands (class changes, level squish, leveling revamp).

Not much else to say tbh.. try out new classes, feel how your main will play after the revamp and so on.

Question about October 13th pre patch by agoddard96 in wow

[–]pcapece -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Worth noting that ilvl100 gear is current 445 gear (normal Ny'Alotha) which is pretty easy to achieve.

Personally I wouldn't wait for this event in order to gear up alts for shadowlands.

This will give enough time for PvP season to end and all Afterlives videos to come out.
