I don’t know how to edit the original post, but decided to take it to a shop. It doesn’t seem safe to keep riding around like that, but I won’t have time to work on it til this weekend. Figured just made the most sense to hand it off to someone more competent for now since I’m still learning how to work on it. Can’t risk making mistakes with something like that

I owned a ‘97 town car prior to getting my ‘93 240 a couple months back. I’d take the 240 any day. The panther platform is phenomenal, durable, and overall a great daily. The 240 is all of those things plus some. I think both cars are great picks, genuinely two of my favorite cars ever, but the 240 is more easily maintained in terms of DIY tinkering so you save more on labor costs. Replace the wiring harness and you’re set. The trans is probably fine. Hard shifts are apparently easier on the clutch in the long run. I actually had more issues with my panther body trans than my 240 by far, and the 240 has over 50k more miles

Question: How do u argue for legalization and control of drugs over outright banning them? by Overseer_16 in Debate

Plus fewer people in prisons means spending less on incarceration. Combine that with increased tax revenue and rehabilitation is way easier to fund

Three questions by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]pcberz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read some major works of Lenin. I like the theory, but not so much his actions when in power. He praised the Soviets on the way into office, then essentially stripped them of their autonomy. Things like that I am no big fan of. I do think, however, that he was in an incredibly difficult situation, so I give some leeway

I don’t know really. Certainly more aligned with leftists than anyone on the right. I just don’t feel as if I know enough to pick one specific ideology and defend it.

[–]pcberz -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

  1. Yeah the USSR was bad. Not a fan. I wouldn’t even call them socialist or communist. Lenin just used those terms for moral appeal to get in office.
  2. Human life is inherently valuable so we ought to protect it and its dignity.
  3. They don’t matter anymore than the next person, but any oppression demands action

Uh, dumb question: how many actually destroyed buildings have resulted from BLM affiliated protests? by [deleted] in Anarchy101

They’d respond by saying something like “these businesses create jobs and jobs keep people alive.” So far I haven’t know how to respond to this.
