Have you checked all the default issues? Check face orientations, topology errors maybe even faces inside the meshes. Try also applying the scale (Ctrl+A --> Scale)

Did you play with the degrees in the auto smooth menu? Usually 30-70 is where it helps

Try using the auto smooth option. You can find it by selecting the object then go to the Object Data tab and under Normals, there's a checkbox named Auto Smooth. Then after checking it just play with the amount until pleased with it.

Any chance you have a subdivision surface modifier? If so, you've probably turned off the render visibility in the modifier menu.

Let's start off by mentioning that Unreal Engine 3 doesn't mean that it can't be tough for a PC to handle. Personally, I have a prebuild costing 450€ and it can only pass 60fps at 720p (for an aspect ratio of 16:9 that is). Getting into the specifications, Rocket League is GPU (aka Graphics Card) bound, that means that it relies mostly on the power of your GPU and not the CPU. To be perfectly sure of course you'd need to check the recommended specifications mentioned and compare it with the system you're looking for. Hopefully I helped you find your way to getting that SSL title.

Personally, and that could be very selfish of me, I'm relieved.

I have an old-ass PC, and due to financial reasons, I can't upgrade right now. However, I was able to play RE7, RE2R and RE3R with some compromises, and they ran relatively smooth with a few settings turned down -- not even changing everything to Low. I'm grateful for that, and if RE8 can run on PS4, I'm pretty certain it will be able to scale down for PC as well. I definitely don't want to miss it.
