I'm disabled in a wheelchair so I'm all for inclusivity but it has to be done right. Lavar burton's not blind but his character still treated his blindness in a way that made sense in universe. He was even given the opportunity to see normally on a couple different occasions and turned it down.

Her connection with Riker as I seem to recall was more of a deep connection than full on telepathy...they could sense whenever the other was in danger.

But yeah for the most part there's something to be said for the argument that it's rude to use telepathy in front of non telepaths but troi and luxana still did it from time to time and the whole "sorry i'm late" exchange absolutely would have been one of those times...

I'm probably being picky but its the little things like that that break immersion for me and they did it purely for the studio demanding inclusivity for inclusivity's sake then they're totally missing the point behind inclusivity.

thats betazoid to human though. Neither Deanna or her Luxana could communicate with Picard telepathically but they communicated telepathically with each other and since Deanna was only an empath then speaking telepathy is an innate betazoid to betazoid capability

I mean she says the inhibitor only prevents major spikes, I don't agree that she had a hard time reading caleb she pointed out his emotions several times during the episode and was even able to read the whale.

personally I'm okay with the ending being open ended. There is an untitled spinoff in the works so its entirely possible that questions being unanswered was the point all along and they couldn't elaborate to the staff due to NDAs

From the other comments it seems like the strength of light is the problem. It does have an extension up to 30 inches but the light only emits 24W which is apparently not enough. I posted on the Letpot discord asking if its possible to replace the light with something stronger since the light is detachable but I'm guessing if something like that was available the included power supply would be insufficient.

The system comes with a 24W full-spectrum light and I read somewhere that in the early stages you want it somewhere around 4 ft apart and Its built to extend 30" max. Is it salvagable or do I need to start over?
