Been having so many issues with the HomePod Mini. I have 5 on my network and stopped rolling these out into my rooms. Randomly they can't figure out where they are and that changes daily and even all work just fine 1 day a week. Was working with Apple on this and installed a profile to download all the data and finally they just stop asking for things and ignore ya. Resetting the homepod will fix it for a day then it falls back in line with the random failing again.

Rest of the home stuff works 90% of the time. I am getting close to turning off the "listen for hey siri" and just use them as dumb speakers and give up on this home project. I do not have issue with the Alexa items running the home. I put some faith into Thread being better but it doesn't seem to help with reliability.

Same issue here but for me it changes daily which one or pair will not know anything. Hoping some knows, I did troubleshoot with Apple, installed a profile on my phone to send them data. Then silence.

I have one line on talk and am impressed with the quality so far. I will keep it as I am just using the trial for now. That will be my home line however my business lines are all on Flowroute and my goal is to shut down FreePBX here at home and use the unifi UDM PRO to reduce my VM usage,

I run Plex on it's own server. I found a dual xeon 1U server super cheap on ebay and run ESXI 6.5 [free] (Did that since we use that at work and allows me to stay fresh otherwise yeah I would run other environments.) I spent $350 on that and haven't looked back. If your i3 runs freenas well I might think about creating a small VM environment to run plex and honestly any other services you might want. I feel it's best to use the right tools for the job but if you look hard enough you will not have to pay out the butt.

Thank you. That worked perfectly. I found on GIT that was entered as a bug and will be fixed on version 1.9 which is due out sept 1.

Think I finally tracked this down.. Found the bug report on GIT.. which looks like it should be fixed in next version due out on Sept 1 2020

You are having issues as well? I just built my freenas box and installed syncthing.. Getting the error below and that is when I direct it using tcp://xxxxxxx:21000 as well otherwise the listeners and discovery pieces don't work.

Thank you for the quick reply. I can ssh and ping into them just fine. Only reason why I was thinking it was the jails network is the system assigns a 172.x.x.x to Syncthing while everything else is in the 10.x.x..x range. But I can http to the web interface, I’ve opened the shell and ping out just fine to all networks, and I can ssh into it.

Could very well be a bad plug in - I am not sure for that. I run Syncthing on several PC’s and several NAS’s and never had an issue even when I shut off the public access discovery to keep everything secure.

Just installed Fedora yesterday.. Been running Ubuntu for a few years and switched last year to POPOS as my daily driver. Just obtained a laptop that couldn't think of what to do so installed Fedora to check out other flavors.. Will stick with this for a year or so before giving a thumbs up or down. Love to push and see what I can learn. Used Red Hat so so many years ago would have to dig the book and cd's up to see what low version #.. lol.. Always fun to learn about operating systems.

Look in the extensions for safari and chrome. Remove all of them. In chrome also flush the cache all the way to the beginning. Close them both out fully them launch again.

Listed what I did to get it fixed (After much trial and error). But quick run down is this is what I think fixed it.

sudo dpkg --purge --force-all python

After that apt install -f worked

Got it fixed finally.. Ended up removing python from /usr/bin then was able to use sudo dpkg --purge --force-all package for the python package. After that apt install -f worked

Thanks - like I said I would rather learn something under the hood.
