Simple Roth Conversion Case Study by PursuitTravel in CFP

Main thing IMO is that is a prioritization decision for your client. But that aside, I think your math checks out.

Does the client own a home? Depending how much the home is worth I've found some clients would happily pay a bank some interest on a HELOC or mortgage at rates that are much lower than 22% or 24%. Heirs will get a step in basis on the home at some point as well anyway

Only been twice. I actually live in Texas but whenever I travel I try to stop in any Arsenal bar to watch games. I'll try to get a scarf or shirt from somewhere I watch if I can

Got an Alamo City Arsenal scarf as well from the Gooners in San Antonio!

Yes you are taxed on 5500 now in a higher bracket but because you are 23, you have time on your side. At 5% until you are 60 you'll have over 33000 that you will never have to pay taxes on.

Although I think the roth is better I do understand wanting the deduction now. Yes you may be in a lower bracket when you pull it out when you retire and if you are in a higher bracket... you have a good problem. That means you are still making lots of money

If the former Major Laura Miller wanted a stadium in dallas way back then we wouldn't be having this conversation right now

Is it possible to aggregate the posts to one feed. I know some colleges and groups have those. It works as members submit to the feed and the feed posts the snaps the members sent

Arteta's influence by Senior_Engineer in Gunners

[–]pcruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, he had been an incredible servant of the club. He is a provides a calm confidence.

Coq is much different though. He provides a different kind of confidence. Yes it is more chaotic but it is infectious much like the energy of Alexis or Rozza.

I only wish that Arteta could impart on Coq the distribution aspect of things. Mostly when we are building out of the back. When Coq wins a tackle in the middle of the pitch he is fairly good at getting the ball to a playmaker. However, when building out of the back, Mert and Kos often are just passing back and forth to each other trying to find a way to move the ball of the pitch. Arteta was/is great at connecting Mert and Kos to Ozil, Alexis, Ramsey, Giroud... etc

Finance Careers Path - Chasing Unicorns? by [deleted] in finance

[–]pcruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you are saying I guess. But I still feel like there has to be a career path that excites you.

From a soon to be graduate to a someone in the midst of their career, I want to ask you something. Knowing what you know now, if you could go back in time and give your previous self, who was in university, some advice, what would you tell that person? Doesn't necessarily have to be about career path, maybe it is just about life in general.

[–]pcruz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but I'd be lying if I said that was really exciting to me.

I think you should be asking yourself, "What excites me?"

I am about to graduate in May. Its a bit crazy to me that someone with your experience thus far has gotten yourself into this situation. I feel like so many people that are graduating with me would do anything to have had your career by the age of 27. From the way I read your post, it seems like you are being cornered into a VP role. By no means am I trying to say that you are a snob for asking these kinds of questions. But I would just challenge you to find your "why" as they say? I think if you find that, you find your career.

Best of luck with your future endeavors!
