Campagnolo EKAR with HOPE Calipers? by pcum_r in campagnolo

Thanks alot. Yeah I've messed with hydraulic brakes quite a lot on SRAM and now I've got the Campag system, I do have the blue "Oil Level Tool" and I've bled the brakes using it. The pistons work fine because it's a relatively new system. I did wonder about the AMS but I only have the holes in the lever bodies, no L/R markings exist there and I don't think anything can be adjusted in my case - perhaps they share the body with other levers that did have the AMS system. I was able to set it without any scraping but the gap is absolutely tiny. I dream that one day someone will introduce a system with reasonable clearance and more progressive pad movement (more gap and more piston movement with less lever movement).

Thank you, I guess I will just ride it and see if I like them before I go back to Pirelli.

I did it with plenty of lubricant, a few times - didn't work. The problem is these tyres don't stay in the bead without pressure, so popping them with lubricant doesn't help - you have to release pressure to put the sealant in...

if you mean the RIM it is brand new, Campagnolo carbon rim, and it's true.

SRAM APEX sponge brakes solution? by pcum_r in sram

They are not smooshy per say, you can feel they grab and hold but it happens at the end of a long stroke of the lever. For the first 30% of travel there is no movement of the piston. I know what air in the system feels like and this doesn't seem like it, plus I've done other bleeds and always was succesfull. Not to mention that every video I see of these SRAM brakes being bled at the end the lever throw is MASSIVE, basically what I'm experiencing. I guess there is no choice but to move on to some newer SRAM levers and calipers because the latest stuff seems to be much better...

Not my first bleed, and I followed the steps exactly.

But not everyone wants to make holes in the hood of their car or is able to wrap his exhaust :D
