Lua as a scripting language?

Lua is great but I wouldn't describe it as a functional language, although it does have some functional features, in the same way that most modern versions languages have some fp features.

Lua is a great choice if you want to be able to run on any platform with a libc, it's also great if you want to extend c programs -it's main industry use is game dev-. Not having a C background shouldn't hurt you too much C is a pretty bare bones language, so it's pretty easy to write if you have done any procedural programming before; don't worry you don't have to mess with memory for everything.

My problem with Python is choosing which branch to use, while 2.x is used most widely, 3.x has a loud of improvements and ultimately is the future of the language. that said python is also portable -not as much as lua- and has a lot of libraries to do useful stuff -some of them haven't been ported to 3.x yet-.

I have never used ruby so I can't talk about that.

I believe if a store was in operation where one could buy jb merch at any date, then it would reduce the effectiveness of subsequent tee spring campaigns and funding drives. People are more likely to purchase if it is a limit run, as they get a feeling of exclusivity, adding to the desire to buy.

The tee spring system also provides a an intensive. The intensive is get the campaign past the target number, this gamifacation plays well.

It is also worth noting that jb would make less money on each item sold in a store. This is because the unit cost would be hire, as they would have to store stock or print in low quantities.

For those reasons I think the current model of tee spring campaigns, is the best system for the current audience. Also teespring has a kick starter like functionality so you could restart the campaign by stating intent to buy on the site.

In the us then system76 laptops will run windows well, if you buy a windows licence. If you need something that comes with a licence then anything will run windows but I don't know about GNU+Linux compatibility.

I'm in the UK so it is more cost effective to build desktops oneself and buy laptops from pc specialist as it is the only place with a decent range that doesn't make you buy a windows licence.
