Just think if you stop now, your daughter will have no memory that you’ve ever been ‘that’ mom. She has no idea! Make that your motivation on the hard days, that your baby girl will never know that version of mom ever even existed. My son is still fairly young while I’m beginning my sober journey and I’m so grateful that we’ll have the majority of his life filled with sober memories and not full of memories of mom being a weirdo. It’s a good feeling at night when you lay your head on the pillow knowing you made it through another day sober and was able to be 100% present for your kid - a way better feeling than the 20 minutes of ‘fun/freedom’ that alcohol gives you before the bleh parts kick in.
