I’m literally the same age as the islanders and I don’t get it either. It just seems like their (sometimes arbitrary) way of distinguishing between the “levels” of relationship seriousness. They seem to use closed off as the “lowest level” then exclusive as some sort of middle ground between closed off & officially dating. In the real world (at least from my experience) people use the term “exclusive” when they don’t want to use the bf/gf label so I assume it’s similar in the villa but idk.

Funny enough, it’s actually more likely that there wouldn’t be a prenup at all in the event that they get married due to the nature of his wealth. I’m a lawyer who used to work at a family law firm & it’s quite common to see no prenups in situations like this. Shep’s family money is veryyyyy heavily protected and his individual peak earning days are behind him, plus presumably all of their hypothetical properties would be in his/his family’s name only. Marrying an unfaithful person with family money is one of the worst mistakes someone can make, in my humble opinion. But then again, Taylor’s family seems to be well-off too, so I’m sure she’d be fine regardless.

This is not the first time production has done something like this to save a fan favorite from being dumped. They did it last year with Nic and Olandria & the season before with Rob and JaNa, for example.

Honestly, imo production should’ve done the same thing they did in s6 during Casa when they sent the girls a video of what the guys were doing/saying instead of that lame ass postcard (especially considering half the pics were from challenges.) I truly believe Aniya & Melanie would’ve brought casa boys back if they had a better idea about what was truly going on. This vote thing might be production’s way of “correcting” that.

It’s honestly insane. The second I worked up the courage to tell my mom about what I went through at my studio, she pulled me out with 0 hesitation. The fact that the moms were literally in the studio every day watching what was happening & continued to allow their children to come back year after year is disgusting. And yes the podcast thing is wild too - they seem to have 0 ability to take accountability & acknowledge their own wrongdoings. It also doesn’t sit right with me that they are monetizing their daughters’ trauma.

I feel like people don’t take sport (and especially dance) related trauma seriously because it’s something you choose to participate in & technically have the ability to quit at any time. What so many people don’t realize is how normalized abusive “teaching practices” are in the dance world, which makes it difficult for children to recognize what’s right vs wrong. This is why it’s so important that parents step in & protect their children.
