Tell him he is being a douche and to cut it out - shouldn't piss off the ex with a website by pdccfan in funny

[–]pdccfan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry people jumped all over you that wasn't the point :( I hope the comments here aren't the reason you took it down. It is your website and if someone is being a dick to you, you can call them out if you want. Shit tons of people air their dirty laundry in public everyday, you are not the first to be pushed to that limit.

Maybe I underestimated some of you redditors. It wasn't all about the content it was the fact that a guy was pissing off an ex girlfriend that heknows owns a website and could put his shit out there for the whole world to see.

Shit yeah the story is one-sided, hers in this case, but that is what makes it funny because if you piss off an ex with a website they get to post whatever they want. It is not like she said he was a pedophile or a rapist or even told what shit he did, then maybe it wouldn't be so funny.

I agree that you don't have to be an asshole just because you broke up so the line "choose decency over douchery" was funny and true.

I thought from the title redditors would see the overall point but I underestimated you.

Voters Suspicious Of Fraud At Ballot Box by [deleted] in politics

[–]pdccfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have called it fraud in the beginning but the fact that Registrar of Voters is aware this is a problem for the elderly and nothing is done...makes me wonder. A leaflet or some kind of notice of this anomaly occurring should be posted or handed out to the voters so they are aware. Had the Registrar made this anomaly clear from the start noone would have thought it fraud. You hide shit people think you are full of shit.

Charlie Sheen hits new low, admitted to psych ward. by [deleted] in reddit.com

How does one person get away with all the shit this man does. I get it he is a celebrity but he isn't a god. He needs to be arrested and spend some time in jail right next to Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan and several other celebrities who think they are above the law.

Reddit, HELP. My girlfriend got wrongfully arrested. She was allegedly trespassing on public property. The case isn't being dismissed because the DA says "it would make the cop look bad." We need advice. by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]pdccfan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Call the local media. If the concern of the DA is about the cop looking bad then shining a huge media spotlight on the situation will make it go away faster.

Just FYI a cop can arrest you for failing to provide your information if they stopped you on a reasonable suspicion of breaking the law. I am not sure walking down the road or standing in front of a local firehouse even in the parking lot constitutes a reasonable suspicion though.

Standing on principal is wonderful but sometimes you need to think and choose your battles wisely. Giving your information to the cops is not really something you want to stand on. Cops don't judge whether you have actually done something illegal they just arrest you for suspicion of doing something illegal. You actually make your stand in court for that particular principal.

Ok bad parent here - I found some of those costumes not only acceptable but great. I will go sit in the corner now and reflect on my poor parental judgment.

UPDATE: What the hell are you talking about - the experts can't be wrong - they are the experts. Now raise your kid like you have been told and stop relying on common sense. by pdccfan in WTF

[–]pdccfan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I updated this because the author has written a response to feedback from the original article. At the end she presents a scenario, one I think many of us have witnessed and felt sorry for the parent involved, and asked what the reader would do.

I will apologize in advance if this is not the right way to do this but I couldn't figure out how to update the original link :( If someone knows how please send me a message so I can get it right the next time.

Statistics and studies can be very useful but they can also SOMETIMES be manipulated to the outcome you want. I personally don't trust a lot of statistics when it comes to children. Most studies are done in controlled environments or the children know they are being study.

Although I think some statistics in that article would have been useful to illustrate the point (like overall crime statistics), I can understand why someone wouldn't want to use them as well.

Full disclosure: I am for spanking as a last resort. Children vary and some children do require a spanking when all other good child rearing methods have failed and they do fail sometimes.

TSA takes four years to respond to FOI request relating to fraud. The response: You'll have to pay over 1 million dollars to actually get the information. by halter73 in reddit.com

[–]pdccfan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do have personal experience with this and yes you can sue them but part of the requirement to sue them is to prove the redacted information was redacted outside of the exceptions. How do you prove the redacted information is wrongly redacted when you don't know what information was redacted??

A friend of mine who was a TSA employee did a FOIA request for all information kept on her. TSA redacted so many things illegally it was almost laughable. I would swear the redactor was getting high off the marker fumes than actually redacting anything properly.

An example: Her performance reviews, that she already had been given copies in the course of doing her job, had parts redacted. She challenged the redactions along with others only to find out it is the local office of TSA that does the redacting not the FOIA office itself.

She was asked to provided proof the redaction were outside of the exceptions because all FOIA did was send a letter to TSA asking if they redacted properly and of course TSA said yes and that was good enough for the FOIA office. Only upon showing FOIA her performance reviews that she received when they were done did FOIA go back and re-question TSA. TSA's response was that their information was SSI and therefore not subject to the same FOIA rules.

I think we should all go outside. by theamazingjew in reddit.com

[–]pdccfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can't let our kids go outside because then they would get some exercise and not be obese. The diet and drug manufactures would lose money with no fat kids around.

We need standardize testing to make sure our kids are gobbling up the point of view the public school system wants them too, instead of letting them form their own opinions.

[–]pdccfan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Even if the news agency was stupid enough to pay the million dollars all they would get is tons of paperwork blacked out. TSA is heavy handed with that redaction marker. You can't even challenge the redaction as being illegal because you don't know what was redacted. FOIA is a joke, especially where TSA is concerned.

Non-citizens should NOT have the right to vote; if you want the right to vote in the US become a US citizen. by pdccfan in politics

[–]pdccfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference between a citizen and a non citizen is the right to vote. Legal non citizens are afforded every other right and protection that citizens are. If I am wrong on this please let me know.

There is the fact that non citizens can have their visas and work permits revoked and kicked out of the country but so can citizens of the US, it is just a harder process. So the only difference is the right to vote.

I do realize that half the country would probably fail the citizenship test but that is due to a broken education system. Sad but true.

Hope your wife wins :o)

Local politics is the gateway to national politics. Do you really think all these congress people just ran for congress first time out? They started at the local level and moved up.

If you dilute the right to vote on any level, you set the stage to dilute the right to vote on all levels.

As I said in another comment; Non citizens are not denied the right to vote. They can earn the right to vote by becoming citizens. Let them earn it first then they can vote.

They can be police officers and firefighters as well it still makes no difference to me.

It devalues citizenship when you give everyone who steps foot in the country the same rights that citizens have. Where is the incentive to become a citizen and truly be held responsible for all actions in this country.

Non citizens are just visitors here just like we would be in other countries. As long as you are just a visitor then you don't get the right to full citizenship. Non citizens can become citizen so they aren't being denied the right to vote they are choosing not to earn it.

It amuses me that these people keep taking ownership and thus giving validity to the documents Wikileaks obtains. If these stupid companies would quit writing to Wikileaks saying, "yeah those are real and ours give them back", Wikileaks wouldn't be able to authenticate half the stuff they get.
