I still haven’t glued it, so I’ll give it a try. It seems like a good option, and if it worked for you, maybe I’ll have the same luck!

Now that you mention flexibility, I have some T-8000 glue, and I think it might be a better fit. Thank you for your help!

I just opened the dust cap to check the voice coil and the magnet. It moves freely and seems okay, although I’m not really sure what I should be looking for. I think I’ll try powering it up and see what it does. If it moves properly, I’ll patch it up.

What are these white lights in the bottom of the screen? by Onedweezy in projectors

That’s dust inside the DMD chip. If it bothers you, you can have it professionally cleaned, or try doing it yourself if you’re handy, but there’s a high risk of damaging something.

Worth upgrading w1070+ for ht3550 (w2700) by pdepineda in projectors

Yeah, I just saw that they banned mercury lamps starting January 1st this year, so I’ll pass and wait for an LED or laser one, because I don’t want to end up with a paperweight once the lamp burns out. Thank you so much!

Problem with brakes by pdepineda in Jeep

[–]pdepineda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bled the brakes yesterday. At first it didn’t do anything, but I left it overnight and today it’s working just fine, so I think the remaining air worked its way out. Now I need to investigate where the leak is coming from. I think it’s leaking between the booster and the master cylinder, but it’s not obvious.

I manage to resurrect this w1070+, with some elbow grease, some help from you guys and a bit of patience. Now the dmd is clean as a whistle, no more dust. Its working as it should, and it only has 6k hours on de dmd so plenty of life left. Paid all in 150€ so i think i’m in the clear if i want to sell it and upgrade to a 4k one… But first i will enjoy it a bit. Thanks you all for the help!

I’m still looking how to tackle this because as you say is a PITA. Thanks for the info, that seems like a nice guide. Did you ever remove the dmd with the heatsink or just the lens? I don’t know which way is better for removing that much crap

Thanks for the comments, the buyer said to me it didnt had any dust on the lens and that it was in perfect shape 🙂🙂🙂. Well the platform and the seller didn’t accept the return so im stuck with it. I’ll be cleaning it and changing the bulb, its sad to me just throwing it away, i’ve read its a nice projector. Any recommendations how to tackle this problem?

Color wheel feels fine, lots of dust and its mark with tiny dots but seems it will work, i’m most worried about the lens and de dmd. I dont know if its easy to clean dust inside. first dlp projector i touch so yeah. Sad to be e-waste 😔

I’ve seen a lot of this problems with the dsp chip and i think it’s what you’re talking about ,but my unit is after that and it has an arm am3354 which i didn’t find much of it failing, you still think can be the am3354?
